Urania Luxury Suite with pool view -Loutra Resort

Was op zich prima, niet spectaculair. De ontvangst ging via Whatsapp, men reageerde snel op vragen en was erg aardig. Ook werd na een paar dagen het vuilnis opgehaald, de bedden verschoond en kregen we schone handdoeken.

Op basis van de beschrijving en vooral op basis van de opgesomde vele faciliteiten verwacht je een echt resort met in ieder geval een receptie en dergelijke. Echter, het was een appartementencomplex met vooral privé-huizen/appartementen en had (begin mei 2026) een 'verlaten' gevoel; van de 40 appartementen leken er 2 of 3 (semi)permanent bewoond, er waren er 1 of 2 voor langere of kortere tijd verhuurd en eentje leek dienst te doen als een soort kantoortje van het een of ander. Onderhoud aan de faciliteiten was op zich niet slecht, maar het was ook weer niet alsof men de hele week de boel bijhoudt. Men adverteerde toen ik boekte ook met een verwarmd zwembad, maar bij aankomst en navraag via de Whatsapp bleek dat maar tot 1 mei aan te staan (deze faciliteit lijkt nu niet meer tussen de opsomming te staan, trouwens). Verder was het een beetje onhandig dat de douche in het bad was zonder afscherming, waardoor bij het douchen de hele badkamer een waterballet werd. Daarnaast wat kleinere dingetjes als slijtage aan stoelen en bank en gordijnen.

Très bel appartement, conforme aux photos. Les piscines, aussi bien pour enfants que pour adultes, étaient très propres — rien à redire de ce côté-là. Nous avions reçu un message avant notre arrivée pour nous aider à trouver l’appartement, ce qui a vraiment facilité notre installation : top !

Le gros point négatif de l’appartement, c’est qu’il n’y a qu’une seule casserole — et pas une grande — ce qui est insuffisant pour une famille. Quand on choisit un logement avec cuisine, on s’attend à pouvoir cuisiner un minimum. L’absence de micro-ondes n’est pas un problème, mais ce serait un petit plus appréciable.

El apartamento es muy grande y tiene de todo. Camas muy cómodas y la bañera de hidromasaje es un plus. La piscina es grande y está muy cuidada, volveríamos a alojarnos aquí. Gracias

We really liked how organized and well maintained the property was. All apartments had all amenities you would require and were very cleaned and well maintained. Our apartment was on the ground floor with a great sunny patio and direct access to the pools. The pools were very clean and quite sizable.

There is not really something we didn’t like, but more of a luxury problem, we had a bathtub jacuzzi in the bathroom, which was amazing especially for our little baby to swim in and bath however having a separate shower might have been a great addition. For us as a younger couple it was not really a problem, but I can imagine for older people it would be a bit difficult to enter and exit the bath. Other than that all good

Excellent value for money . Everything is new and fully functional . The location is convenient for travelers that like like an easy approach and calm stay , while they are obliged to use their car. Nearby village pigi has anything you need and reaching Rethymno takes 15-20’. The pool is very convenient and large for an establishment of this type.

The night breeze , even if cooling the house , was sometimes bringing animal smells to the kitchen and second bedroom window (at the back of the property). Nothing major, but this is the only negative aspect I could find in relation to the property and the stay .
