Queen's Apartment in Cardigan, Cardigan Bay

Very comfortable for 2 tall people (just watch for one beam). You can make basic meals - but given the excellent alternatives you don't need to. Cardiff Market is just yards away, with the world's best veggie/vegan food (Mister Meze - I feel like rushing back to Cardigan now just to eat it again) and there is also a very good chippy (with seating) on the same street - the Cardigan Arms. An enormous smart TV in case of rainy days. Only yards from the high street. Public parking also very close, and free overnight until 8 AM. Very nice local manager (on phone). And kudos to the cleaner - possibly the cleanest place we have ever stayed!

We liked it all, but things to note: Quite a few stairs up, so unsuitable for people who can't manage them with luggage. The local car park only accepts three hours in the daytime, so you have to move your car to one of the long-stays if you want to wander around Cardigan for longer (it's full of independent shops, art, a wonderful market and a nice river walk).

No egg cups for breakfast! Couldn't access wifi or TV throughout stay. No sign of a visitors book or information book you might need to show how to use any of the facilities, anywhere in property. I looked!! Nothing to say where was good to eat out or visit during stay. Needs a chair in lounge area that is not quite so low as the one sofa that's there , for older guests. Sofa can be a bit difficult get up from. No shower mat anywhere for within shower, a slip mat necessary. . Again for older guests. I slipped and fell getting out. Wouldn't have happened with a shower mat. I looked in the under sink cupboard but nothing there. Apart from these things which are easy to address and put right the place was comfortable and spotless and a very nice place to stay. I'd stay again if these things could be sorted out. They are minor things and not costly to achieve. Would mean a more comfortable stay for older guests. Thank you.

the apartment was immaculate all through out, comfy bed . looks like it was recently refurbished to a high spec.

Very well-presented flat, tastefully decorated, in the centre of town

The wall heater did not work ( faulty programming ? ) but there was another heater in the bathroom which worked, and a portable fan heater which I used. The weather was not cold, but in winter, the wall heater will be necessary. The TV was set to show box sets only, and I could not access live TV, which was strange. But I was not there to watch much TV. The password for the internet was written on the bottom of the router is such small letters that I could not read them correctly. The manager had to come and read it for me. They should leave the password written in large letters to make things easier.

Very clean and in the centre of Cardigan Bay. Had all the necessary equipment.

Location was very good and the flat was clean and airy. Town easily accessible.

No bread knife to cut bread purchased from the local bakery. No kitchen knives to prepare vegetables for fresh meals. No side plates for breakfast - only the large dinner plates. The selection of kitchen utensils needs to be upgraded to accommodate those visitors who wish to prepare their own meals rather than eat out.
