Rustic Chester Cottage Near Shops & Terrace

Fantastic Cottage! Location and Interior is superb! Lovely walk’s along to the River ~ excellent meal’s at the Boathouse and staff were amazing! Definitely recommend!

Location was ideal as right next to the river and the city centre. We could walk to places easily and didn't rely on taxis. Very clean house and loved the quaint character of the place. Provided us with everything that we needed.

The heating did not work the entire time we were there. The thermostat would never read higher than 7 degrees and it appeared to have WiFi and we had hot water but no heating. Luckily we had planned to be out in the city for most of our time there but we also had cold weather so when we had times where we headed back to the cottage it never warmed us up from the outside so we dreaded going back inside (which is what you don't want from a nice place that we paid a bit of money for) and it actually ended up being warmer outside.

Good central location, easy/short walking distance to town centre. Nice & clean. Bed super comfy.

Small touches would have improved the accommodation; why provide a Nespresso machine but no pods? Fridge door hard to get open, open shower meaning that the water sprayed onto the bathroom floor. The metal/spiral stairs could also be a bit tricky for less than able bodied - we found going downstairs to the bathroom very awkward. Also felt they were quite hazardous.
