Meganisi Villa Armonia - Private Pool Oasis

The location was wonderful - a stunning view with a lovely pool and large outside space and just a very short walk to steps down to a small beach. We were a 20/25 minute walk to Vathy port, which had a great selection of waterside restaurants and shops. The house was comfortable and quite well equipped except for a washing machine although the host did offer to do our washing. (This wasn't ideal as we had only brought one suitcase for a family of 5, assuming the washing machine listed amongst the facilities would be in our villa).

What we didn't realise is that the hosts live on site in the lower ground floor and it felt like we were sharing the whole space, which at times wasn't very private or relaxing. There were daily interactions with the hosts, which included shouting at my sons for swimming 'too aggressively" in the pool, pointing out we had left an air conditioner on (there was still someone in asleep in the bedroom), reminding us to shower off suncream before getting in the pool, to close the gates and fly screens on coming in and out, to leave on the outside light at night etc. It was a shame as the villa itself with its incredible views, lovely pool & proximity to a beach is one of the nicest places we have stayed in in the Greek islands.
