Luxury holiday retreat set within Oakdene Forest - Park activities pass included free!

Location good, facilities good.

I would not rate them as luxury, but it was good accomodation. Bed mattresses not very comfy. Old spring style which are not the beat these days

Didn’t have breakfast but did have a evening meal very good and lovely staff.

Lovely park, great food, nice walks and lovely helpful staff at the park. More helpful that the company we used to book! Book directly with Oakdene not Shore Abode.

Our booking was a private seperate company within the park, which weren't very helpful! I messaged 3 times regarding not getting our passes and was ignored. They sent a message regarding my stay but completely ignored all previous requests for help. Now not sure how hard it is to say we will look into it for you atleast? When we got the the park thankfully reception sorted it out when we got there. (not their job though) The kettle was full of limescale which had flaked into my tea, it was horrible. So I used the coffee machine that was the same. So for any hot drinks during our stay we had to boil water in a saucepan. I wrote a complaint email, they replied whilst still being at the park. They didn't even come and replace the kettle or the coffee machine. The outside furniture was rusted and broken, and has been like that since 2024 reading the guest book it has been mentioned more than once. Uncaring unhelpful company if your going to book this park I'd suggest not booking this company, took my money ignored us and didn't fix any problems.

Excellent value for money. Very clean caravan and great location. Having 2 bathrooms is a bonus when there are 4 of you to get ready.

Outside furniture could do with replacing :)

We stayed for 3 nights visiting family in the local area. 3 adults, 2 children and 1 medium sized dog. The caravan was great, fully kitted out with everything we needed and big enough for us all. Access was easy with great communication and instructions from the host from start to finish. The activity pass came in really handy for swimming, the pool is small but had a slide, sauna, stream and hot tub, so great for an hour. And the arcades were a hit with the kids 😊 there’s a little shop onsite too, bit pricey as expected, but very convenient. The park itself is really clean and quiet and the forest was fab for my daily dog walks - and there’s plenty of dog poo bins dotted around the site to help clean up the mess! Nearest beach was 20 mins away at Southbourne and sandbanks 25 mins, really close to Bournemouth too! We did all 3. Overall, a brilliant location and great value for money. Will definitely rebook!

Location was great. The park was peaceful, which made for a very relaxing holiday. The park had direct access to Hurn Forest, which was great for walks and gentle exercise.

The property was homely the kids loved the little touches with the sweets in the bedrooms. It was a perfect location in the park.

Nothing not to like everything we needed for the weekend we had.

Spacious caravan. Clean & tidy. Well equipped kitchen. Smart tv so I was able to use my Netflix. Good showers. Parking outside.

Blind fell down in the kitchen so no privacy for most of the stay. I used a towel to try and create a curtain. Outside furniture unusable. We had good weather on the one of the days so would have been nice to sit outside. Too many speed bumps on the site and the access road.
