Beautiful, stylish and spacious place. In the middle of a lively neighbourhood and within the chaotic small roads of the medina a wonderful place to find your rest. The local host is helpful and very kind. Speaks both English as French.

The riad was beautiful, beds very comfortable, very quiet and a lovely place to stay.

Beautiful Riad with really nice rooms, seating areas, great kitchen and fantastic balcony/terrace area. Lots of space and areas to relax. Aziz was a really helpful host and very communicative, and we had Amine as a driver and he was also very helpful regarding excursions and taking us to and from the airport. Location was good, about a 20 minute walk to the square and a lot of shops to see on the way. Only issue was how busy the road to the square is, with a lot of motorbikes constantly driving by, so might be a bit difficult for someone who struggles walking for that many minutes on not so easy roads. Motorbikes are everywhere in the area though so not much you can do about that. Breakfast was good for the price, worth trying as it's enough food and more for everyone. Can buy your own breakfast for a bit cheaper outside, but then you don't get the convenience of waking up to a prepared breakfast. Very spacious and great for relaxing with friends or family. Terrace was really nice as well, perfect for some time in the sun if you don't want to go outside.

The toilet rooms on the 2nd and 1st floor were very small, so quite uncomfortable if you're tall or large, or find yourself with an upset stomach and spend a lot of time there. There was also no bidet installed which is usually very nice to have, and the small space would've made it more useful. Also no TV which would've been nice for the evenings, just to have something on to watch. Wi-fi was also a bit slow and unreliable which was unfortunate, and in some rooms you wouldn't get a connection at all. Would've been nice to have a stronger router with faster internet. Data sim cards were very cheap though so you could just use that.

Good location - lively and unique area with cultural vibe. Shops and food nearby. Walk to Medina is not bad, around 25 mins or less. Riad is good as described. Safe and quiet area with hustle and bustle a minute away. Aziz and Hakim were helpful and responsive.

The property was meant to have a TV but there wasn’t one. Host confirmed that it is due to be installed / replaced soon. Made our time a bit difficult with kids. Breakfast is pricey and not as traditional as you’d expect. Consider upgrading wifi as very slow even when you're sat in front of the router! Consider changing mattress toppers as not very comfortable. Finally, although Riad is very pretty and retained in its original form, it could do with some minor upgrades to give it a fresh feel.

We absolutely loved our stay at Riad Sophora- the character, furnishings, cleanliness, facilities etc. made our holiday. I particularly liked the neighborhood, it was so nice to be based in an area which was more authentic (but in easy walk for the more popular tourist areas.) What was also very reassuring for me was the support from Aziz whenever we needed advice, or Hakim to support us when we needed transport. (Communication with Sibylle our host, was also excellent throughout.)

Nothing, I will definitely return and stay here again.

I came here with my family for 8 days over Christmas. We absolutely loved the riad--fantastic architecture, beautiful decor, large, sunny terrace, well-stocked kitchen, comfortable beds and loads of space for our family of 5. It exceeded our expectations. It was such an oasis of calm after a busy day out. Aziz was helpful and gave us good advice about Marrakech. He was there to greet us and helped us with our bags while he showed us the way to the riad. He also took us to the main square and back so we would learn the way. He made us a lovely breakfast on Christmas Day. We felt good knowing that he was there to help us in case of problems. Hakim, though out of town, helped provide us with a driver for our trips to and from the airport and our day trips. He was always very prompt in his responses to my messages. I highly recommend this riad for your stay in the medina.
