GBSuch a lovely family and great room.
AUA room in the attic was an interesting experience. Nice cute space and had everything you need except body wash. A bit over an hour to walk to York City Centre but I understand there are buses. It was a good base for us on a Saturday night when the York city was booked out. Nice helpful hosts, good communication throughout.
Stairs when carrying your cases up
GBLocation good if one is driving. Useful parking onsite and a good pub 100 yards away.
The bed linen was old-looking and tired. The room was cold with no heating and the duvets too thin now it’s autumn, But the worst aspect was there was only COLD water. The hot tap did NOT work. Neither did the shower. Why? Immersion heater turned off? Blown boiler? So in a cold room there was no way to get warm. Also, no TV. Wtf? It’s surely an essential now, anywhere.
