Beautiful and Spacious 1BR in CBD by Zodiak Stays

Location was great, parking at Wilson's across the road

The facilities at the hotel were out of this world! Felt like we were at a resort when going up to the rooftop pool. The apartment was spacious, clean and comfortable.

Everything was great apart from not being able to air the room out very easily. A room spray would have been appreciated, but not a major!

The apartment is really gorgeous and in a great area of the city to be able to see everything.

The safety deposit is very large compared to other places I’ve stayed. They charged me for missing cushions after our stay. Not only did we absolutely not take the cushions, (we are two people travelling with rucksacks) but they deducted half of the deposit (approx $100) for this which doesn’t reasonably reflect the price of a cushion. It was a really disappointing way to end our stay and I received no help, evidence or understanding for our situation. It is baffling to me that they are allowed to do this without any evidence. You also can’t use some of the benefits (such as luggage storage) that normal hotel guests can use.

Loved the size of this apartment! It was very comfortable and easy to live in for a week. A huge well lit, fully equipped unit with a bath, shower and large bed. Access within the hotel to the swimming pools, gyms, etc made this even more enjoyable. Checking in and out is easy too. I would certainly stay here again.

The whole check in process through Zodiak is over complicated and necessitates so many email exchanges - not conducive to a relaxed holiday. There is much emphasis on the breakages deposit: we arrived to find a broken chair and the remainder of dining chairs were so flimsy we were afraid to use them in case they collapsed. A curtain was ripped. After we left, we were asked for an explanation regarding a chipped plate - nothing to do with us and so petty: yet more email exchanges with Zodiac. I have never met such a complicated washer/dryer anywhere - well thumbed instructions are available. Until I had completed my booking through Booking.com, I did not realise that Zodiak were the local agent.

Location excellent. It was indeed spacious, clean and secure. Suited me well as a base for my month-long stay. Access to gym, pool and hot tub and added bonus. The Zodiak agent was courteous and helpful providing extra linen when requested.

The apartment is a little “tired” in terms of decor. The headboard on the bed was not attached to the wall and was an annoyance! A torn voile curtain and a wobbly chair are small things- still poor impression. Problems with WiFi which was not always reliable did annoy me. I managed to reset mostly but it broke down completely in the last few days and I decided to check out 2 days early.
