Apartment in Historic Mill, near Dover Port

The location

The towels were dirty they gave us hardly any toilet roll. Windows don't stay open. Empty tablet boxes an blister packs were found in the bed side drawer. The fridge froze all our stuff. The fairy liquid was watered down. The shower door doesn't close properly. Fire alarm missing from the front room. Dvd remote doesn't work clock doesn't work. Fire extinguisher doesn't have a fire safety tag but it's used as a door stop which isn't good when u got 2yr old staying which was stated on the booking

Proximity to family in Dover. Also close to shops and pubs. Close to bus stops to visit Canterbury etc.

A smart TV would have been nice and a decent aerial for the evenings because we were staying at this property for two weeks. Ordinarily I wouldn’t worry about a TV when traveling.

The interior looked nice

We got there and the hallway leading to the apartment smelt really bad, the apartment itself was nice to begin with until you looked closer at things, the fridge smelt so bad we was unable to use it because when you opened it the whole room smelt like rotten cheese, there was limescale build up in the sink and the tap dripped constantly, the shower was still dirty as you can see in the pictures, then to top it all off we was unable to sleep due to the constant banging from upstairs, it literally sounded like a fight going on up stairs, we couldn’t leave as we didn’t have the extra money so had to deal with it but will not stay here again

The pictures don’t do the apartment justice actually. It is a nice clean apartment which is very well laid out. Clearly it has been used and we could see that but really was not bad at all.

As we visited during the summer month it was extremely hot in there. The windows unfortunately did not hold up in our room causing further warmth. The noise wasn’t the best but it wasn’t a major issue as it is on the main road!

Great location. Well placed for everything you need.

Kitchen units broken, electrics probably unsafe? Broken smoke alarm, corridors smell, shower old and tatty! Not fit for purpose!
