No lock on bathroom, very cold

This was a self-catering accommodation with a kitchen and dining are, neither of which I used but the kitchen was fully equipped with use of a washing machine and dryer. The bathroom was downstairs and as a 60+ I did need to visit during the night, this I knew. However, there as no handrail on the stairs and I must own was very wary about going up and down the stairs. even though there was plenty of lighting if needed, it's an age thing really. I was there to visit my brother in hospital and the owner did provide with a bus route that proved excellent being practically door to door. Despite the stairs, I would not hesitate to stay again.

I liked the self check in which allowed me to arrive quite late without any worries. Process was simple as there was a lock box outside the property. Roadside parking was fine, I found a spot just a few steps from the property. Room was fine, a decent size for one person.

The cleanliness was pretty bad. The blankets and sheets smelt like they hadn’t been washed for months - I’ve seen other comments where the landlord states they are changed after each stay but if that’s the case then he needs to invest in a new washing machine and some decent detergent. I usually try not to make a fuss but I could smell it as I lay there trying to get to sleep. Not pleasant at all. Also, a minor thing but I couldn’t find the wi-fi code. The instructions said it was on the TV stand but I couldn’t find it. There wasn’t a TV stand downstairs so I assumed it was the one in the bedroom however after a thorough inspection I still couldn’t find it.
