Location, cleanliness, tidy inside and outside, layout, comfortable beds and decor was pleasant.

More towels, bath mats, tea towels and more toilet paper. The water cylinder was very loud.

The property was well situated for our visit as my grandad was only a 2min drive away

I booked this property for my parents and my family of 3, after a 4hrs drive, having flown in from Perth. The property had no hot water or wifi on arrival. It took 24hrs to get the hot water fixed, which, given our booking was only for 2 nights, was incredibly disruptive (no hot showers after our travels or the next morning). We were advised that the property manager forgot to leave the welcome folder, which is why there were no details about the wifi. We received the wifi password the morning we checked out. On our first use of the kitchen, we found 2 mouldy cups of coffee that had been left in the microwave, making us question the cleanliness of the property. We also found the fry pan to have a lot of cooked on stains - which came clean after I scrubbed it with steelwool, suggesting it just hadn't been cleaned with much effort. We paid A LOT of money per night for this outdated, basic property, and aside from these major issues, the property was simply underwhelming. The owners/manager need to put more effort into providing things as basic as soap if they want to charge over $600 a night. Overall feeling of disappointment and feeling ripped off. After requesting a full refund, the owners agreed to pay back just over $450 (not even 1 night), which was appreciated, but not enough to take the bad taste out of my mouth.

The location was so close to everything and easy to get to and from places. Loved being central of the mount and Tauranga as travelling while using Google maps was quite difficult due to the road works etc.

What I didn’t like about our stay was that there were people around (neighbours close by) who gave off the intention that they were watching our every move. On our first night we had a noise complaint while we were outside enjoying the nice weather and talking during a bbq with no bass in the background, this had me a little confused as I knew it wasn’t us because we had no loud music playing especially with no bass. However I had been told by someone who was also staying there that he had seen a lady watching us for a few mins, and then not long after that we received the call. Which I find a bit a unfair as it would’ve been nice to have been asked to keep it down rather than a noise complaint if we were being too loud. Also on our last day I was hanging the washing and I could see this lady (not sure if they’re the same one) was just staring at me from her kitchen window, this made me feel a little uncomfortable. Apart from the neighbours there was nothing I didn’t like about our stay.
