Cottage hideaway on the edge of Bodmin Moor

Sue and Will were exceptionally friendly and helpful hosts. The property was immaculate and Sue had left a very generous welcome pack. We didn’t need to have shopped on the way. Location is quiet and ideally situated for exploring this part of Cornwall. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay despite the changeable weather and wouldn’t hesitate in returning. Thanks Sue and Will

There wasn’t anything to dislike

Hosts very welcoming, breakfast supplies and store cupboard essentials provided. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. We enjoyed our honeymoon at this hideaway and hope to return

Nothing to dislike.

We stayed at The Watermill for a week in early May, at the beginning of our 3 month driving trip around the UK. We were certain nothing could top it, but to be fair to the other 25 properties we had booked, we waited until the end of our trip to submit this review. We were right, this stunning property is truly the best. It is in an idyllic countryside setting, equipped with everything you could want or need, including a great range of supplies to help you get settled - everything about the Watermill is quality. We visited great pubs, historic sites and loved the beautiful, varying scenery on our day trips. We were able to enjoy some meals on the outside deck, whilst watching the spring lambs in the neighbouring field. Sue & Will were fantastic hosts, taking time to chat when we arrived and checking in to ensure we had everything we needed. They were able to offer advice about Devon and Cornwall, including suggesting a short crossing on the King Harry car ferry to save a lot of driving. We really didn’t want to leave…

Das Haus ist perfekt. Wunderschön in der Natur gelegen. Ein Symbiose aus geschichtsträchtiger alter Bausubstanz und Moderne. Die Gastgeber sind sehr freundliche und aufmerksame Menschen und bieten auf Anfrage jede Hilfe an. Es fehlt in der Wohnung an nichts. Wir könnten, wenn es mäglich wäre, die maximale Bewertung von 10 Punkten auf 12 Punkte setzen.

We had such a lovely 10 days in the beautiful cottage very comfy, everything was available and more loved the spa bath🛀 couldn't have wished for anything better and was in an idealic setting loved the surroundings the hosts were the best, and were very welcoming, the welcome pack was a lovely surprise hope to visit again one day, Thank-you Sue & Will 😊

Everything was absolutely perfect! It was so clean, comfortable and cosy, we loved it. The garden around the house is stunning. It is a real hide away for relaxing days in beautiful nature. The hosts are very helpful, friendly and welcoming. We will surely come back!

This was the nicest holiday cottage I've ever stayed in in terms of the thoughtful touches and the quality of everything. Everything had been thought of and the welcome provisions were very generous. Sue and her husband were very friendly and their welcome booklet was full of useful information of things to do. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Excellent stay at the cottage. The hosts Will & Sue simply could not have done anything better than they already do It became a 'home from home' stay and the week went too quickly! The cottage, the gardens, the surrounding area, all are just about perfect. We absolutely loved the place and look forward to hopefully staying there again.
