Boutique and Beautiful Flat in Yorkshire - Top Floor

The property was compact and was what we expected. We had a bit of difficulty finding and getting into the property but that was mainly my fault as I didn't reply to the messages that were sent to me on the booking.com app I thought I'd sent an email explaining my circumstances. Anyway, that was resolved eventually... so I cannot totally complain about that as I was mainly to blame.

The property was surface clean but it needed a deep clean. Dirty marks on the walls, doors and windows. I did wash the kitchen utensils before I used them as it felt unclean. The corridor you walk in when arriving is grubby with letters just thrown on the floor. This definitely needs cleaning and decorating with scuff marks on all the walls. There was a quilt thrown on top of the kitchen cupboard... bizarre... why not folded and placed in the bedroom somewhere. The place was very modern and utilised all it's space. It just needs a good clean and lick of paint. I did send my views and pictures to the company who own the apartment who said they would look into it. It is such a nice little place so I do hope that a bit of tlc has been carried out and it will be fine. Very modern and adequate for a short stay.

Stayed 5 nights. All essentials were there. All was to make you feel like at home. All in all ok experience.

Was missing instructions to heaters so had daily problems of setting them up. Not that easy as you might think. But work it out at the end. Internet stopped working had to restart routers by going to other apartment. Luckily was empty so could do it when I needed it. There is no safety chain/ lock from inside so was not sure if anyone could enter the property while I was there.

Convenient location, near the train station and supermarket. Comfy bed. Quiet street. Well equipped. Excellent shower. Good communication from the host.

A few aspects could have been cleaner, particularly the oven. The hot water was scolding hot – be careful! The sofa is very small.

Location was great. Property felt safe and secure. Very comfortable beds. Appliances - cooker, tv, shower all easy to use. Apartment nicely presented.

Was very hot during my stay so would have benefitted from a small fan in the bedroom. A chair in the bedroom would be helpful too to use when drying hair. A small table at side of couch would be useful too for putting glasses/mugs on when sat on couch. Lots of fingermarks on the kitchen cupboards, hall floor slightly muddy and many of the glasses looked like they had been placed back in the cupboard unwashed - so perhaps small dishwasher would be good.
