Protea Private Suite - Ramsgate Ramble Rest

Good location. Close to beach and restaurants

The so called garden was very untidy. It was more like a bush. I understand that the host values the environment but having long grass is not ideal. At least cut the grass along the walkway. It was not pet friendly. The mini stove/hotplate does not work properly and there is no microwave to atleast compensate for that fact. There was no soap provided and very little hand soap which got finished on day 1. There was also female sanitary products in the bathroom bin which clearly shows that the bin was not emptied prior to our arrival. There was also a strong dog poo smell only to discover previous guests dogs poo was discarded near the front door. The host also was not attentive. This place has potential to be really good but it shows that it is not been attended to. The place needs care and love which it is lacking.

Great location and very comfortable bed

We loved the natural garden and the pool. The suite was super spacious and very comfortable for a week stay. The hosts supplied free wi-fi and we were able to stream very easily using the tv. The property is conveniently located within walking distance of several beaches and the shops. Our dogs were also welcomed with open arms :) and we can see this being a regular stay for us

Could use a microwave, but there are no other complaints.

Space indoors and outdoors, fast internet connection, natural setting. Convenient location, just off N2.

Would be great to provide welcome coffee & tea/sugar and shower gel/soap. Microwave recommended as an addition to stove-oven. Regular Deep cleaning recommended on fridge.

Pool was dirty. Grass was overgrown. Trees and shrubs were overgrown and untidy. No outside lights at night. NO aircon. Extremely hot at night. NO microwave

I like the environment it's a friendly environment for couples and friends to enjoy.

I liked everything about the venue.

Place was comfortable and good value for money. Kids enjoyed the pool and the dogs could run freely. Host was friendly and accommodating.

Could do with a microwave and a bit more space for the kitchen.
