Excellent location just off the Camino & closer to Santiago for our walk the next day. A lovely family home & rural location. The homemade supper was amazing.

"On the Camino path and lovely family run spot"

9.0

This family run spot is a good 8km further than Padron, which makes the final day into Santiago much easier. We arrived in the mid afternoon heat and the rooms were cool. The supper we bought from there was generous, tasty home cooked food at a reasonable price. The beds were comfortable. And the host helped us carry our bags up to our rooms, which was a thoughtful touch. The fans at night were a life saver.

Because this spot is rural, it would have been nice if there had been glasses and cold water waiting for when you arrived, especially because it’s a good bit further than Padron itself and so hard to get there before mid-afternoon, by which time it’s hot. It would also be great if there was some type of kitchen area to rinse hydration bladders or prepare breakfast shakes because there are only a couple ablution areas that include the shower and toilet and the basins in there are too short to refill or rinse these things.
