The house was to be used for our lads who were working in Newcastle at the time. It was not fit for them to stay in so I moved them after one night to a better quality property The house is nothing like the photo's. Rubbish had been left in many of the cupboards, areas of the house were damp, the electrics were dangerous, there were even clothes left in the washing machine. There was masking tape used to hold shelves on walls and electric cables in place. The outside bins were overflowing. I have photographic evidence of this I tried to get my money back through Booking.Com and they contacted the owner and as far as I am aware no monies have been refunded.

The property is unappealing (to say the least) starting from the outside. The wall to the side of the drive is significantly damaged with bricks lying about, overgrown weeds and the door on gas meter box broken off. Not a great first impression. There is a reason the property haven’t posted any pictures of the kitchen (and “garden)”, it’s dated and filthy. The fridge is outside the kitchen behind a door. The kitchen may be the coldest place on earth and no matter how long the heating is on it will not heat up. The microwave was a health hazard. The property was generally filthy in every room, the pillows on the bed were made up with two square cushions inside meaning it would separate under your head. It had the appearance and feel of an student house that even students wouldn’t live in. There was a complete disregard for finishing touches in this property, even down to the curtains being hung missing the first loop and being left hanging down instead of corrected, the towel provided with a huge rip, dirty tissues being left in the wardrobe, wires being taped the length of the floor with duct tape, dirty cups and spoons, glass in the shower or the sink not even attempted to be cleaned, picture hanging down, there is marks everywhere on every single wall in every single room, the list goes on. The garden they advertise is a neglected, health and safety hazard of a yard with broken panels in the wooden decking. There was glass window panels leaning beside the fence, all a disaster waiting to happen. I am grateful for Director, Sarah’s communication and refund of our remaining nights. However do not waste your money staying here even for one night which we unfortunately had to do. This company have paid for some seriously good editing of the pictures that they have posted showing the accommodation. It’s evident now that the 10/10 “exceptional” review was from a friend/colleague and not a paying guest.
