VILLA DEL BORGO con piscina e jacuzzi

Everything! We didn’t want to leave!

We really enjoyed the villa because it was well equipped, a lovely layout inside and beautiful garden with splendid views. It is a close drive to the fantastic restaurants in Scopello.

The jacuzzi wasn’t functioning fully. Only Jet 1 worked so were no jets from most of the seats. We hope this gets fixed for future guests.

A fantastic villa surrounded by beautiful gardens and spectacular views all around. It’s gated and fenced around the perimeter. Great infinity pool and jacuzzi which we enjoyed on the chilly evenings. Plenty of sunbeds and a day bed. There is an outside kitchen which we didn’t use. The inside is well equipped. The location is great for wandering up to stunning Scopello, small but authentic. There are a good selection of excellent restaurants and lovely to sit with a drink or gelato in the square. There is a supermarket and The Scopello market with an amazing deli a short walk away, however we drove, a bit hairy walking along the road with no pavement. You can also walk to the Tonnara which is beautiful. We also found a pathway opposite the supermarket car park which lead down to the sea, rocky but very scenic. The Zingaro reserve is also beautiful if you fancy a hike. We easily drove from the villa to Castellammare del Golfo and San Vito Lo Capo - nice. We did drive into Palermo which I would not recommend. The Sicilian drivers are mental!!! I was glad to get out of there unscathed. However the city itself is worth seeing. A really lovely holiday. We enjoyed the villa very much and the host was available via WhatsApp for any questions. Sicily exceeded our expectations and we will return ….

There wasn’t a safe in the villa for your valuables. They should have one, not that I felt the place was unsafe, but it would have been reassuring.

The space was good, and it was easy to walk to restaurants at night.

The door handle on the front door was broken on check-in and was not repaired during our stay. The pool could do with a cover as get lots of bird droppings in it every day.
