Ishq Sanctum- A Conscious Guest House

Ishq Sanctum Guest house was the best place I could find to stay at Chitwan National Park. If, like me, you read reviews of places carefully before booking one, you also know when a host deserves that you write a positive one. And I cannot recommend this guest house enough. We were a group of 5 friends staying in Chitwan for 3 nights, and we wanted to get the best jungle experience possible, away from the crowds and tourists. And this place is truly a hidden gem. It is located at the end of a small, quiet, peaceful and beautiful village bordering the jungle. Its host, Niaz, is a super friendly and smiling person who immediately made it feel like home. We had just finished a trek in Annapurna and he kindly arranged for the transport from the bus station in Bharatpur to reach the village. The food was also absolutely delicious (we had pancakes and porridge for breakfast, tea and coffee at will, fruits like mangoes, apple and bananas, chicken with rice, etc). Niaz also kindly arranged for an experienced local guide to give us walking tours, jeep and canoe tours to explore the jungle further, and was very accommodating and attentive to details. Everything was perfect, really!

L'emplacement est tout simplement magique. Dernier village avant la jungle du Chitwan.. C'est unique. Niaz, le gérant est d'une gentillesse incroyable, toujours le sourire, prêt à aider. Il est facile de venir jusqu'à chez lui car il partage ses contacts de tuktuk. C'est aussi un excellent cuisinier, accompagné d'un super staff.

L'établissement est en cours de construction, certains équipements vont bientôt être installé et le confort ne sera que meilleur. Niaz a tout construit de lui même dans un endroit reculé.

The place feels like home and is just on the edge of the national park. The owner made sure I had everything I needed, even though he wasn't there for the majority of my stay. Suds and Didi that help at the guest house were so amazing. Very caring and friendly and made sure I was entertained during my stay. Didi's cooking is the best I had during my travels in Nepal. This place might not be for people that like comfortable hotels, but I loved staying in a mud house and being this close to nature. I highly recommend it.

Nyaz is an amazing host. Really caring and friendly, you feel home. The place is super beautiful and simple, I felt peace the minute I came here and didn’t want to leave. I have stayed 2 weeks and this sejour changed my life. Would go back anytime

Location, the people, nature, food, sleeping.. all perfect

Peaceful place to stay away from all the city rushes. Where you can listen to the sound of nature and stare to the never ending chitwan forest. The place offer good local Food at an economic rate and have a good wifi as well.
