The Modern House - Beeston Nottingham

The house was easy to find, clear instructions and comms. There were 6 adults and one child staying and all the rooms had good facilities. We cooked and ate at the house and there was enough crockery etc for all of us. The house was an easy walk from Beeston High Street (which was lively with great cafes etc), a swing park and trams to the city centre. Quiet location. Very clean, everything we needed for a family get together. Would book again. Also clear instructions on controlling the heating etc.

Very clean. Nice to have a few incidentals like handwash provided. Kids settled quickly and location for our event was excellent.

Sofa has seen better days and isn’t comfortable Would be nice to have a supply of teabags (8 people staying, 3 teabags left). And coffee. Travelling for a wedding you don’t think to bring incidentals like that. Doors are very heavy and the hallway tiles are easily tripped upon.

House was clean. Coffee, tea and biscuits were provided. Quiet area. Fire proof doors were quite heavy not a problem to us but might be for family with younger children. Would be back only if the communication improved.

Arrived at the property at around 14:25. I did request for an early checked in at 13-14 hours but denied, understandable. And changed as per booking.com to 15-16 hours. No key code given until the very last minute of CI time.Messages weren’t replied. Calls weren’t answered.Finally got the code for key at around 15:30 and they said that they misunderstood, thought we’d CI at 16:00. I mean even if we did want to CI at 16:00, shouldn’t at least we got the code an hour before? To be honest we started to think that we might be scammed. They’re apologetic about it but it was quite stressful experience.

The house was clean and facilities were provided.

Arrival procedure was very disorganised and inconvenient - wrong key code sent, no answer to our calls to resolve problem, half an hour waiting before a reply to our call. Communication problems regarding queries on booking, price hike between booking and confirmation. Contact was very apologetic about muddles and there was a warning on the website that there might be a price hike, but was not expecting such an increase. Overall, not good value for the higher price, and I'm afraid no amount of apologising made the muddle and the price hike acceptable.

Lovely welcome treats, so thoughtful. House immaculate. Plenty of fluffy towels.
