Auberge Burgundy Boutique Hotel & Spa

We did not expect the hotel to be as amazing as it was. Fantastic location so close to everything in Hermanus, the hotel restuarant next door had an amazing breakfast and the facilities at the hotel were great. Room exceeded expectations by quite a lot, incredibly comfortable, really good beds, nice swimming pool / hang out area. Staff were super friendly and helpful.

Super Lage, direkt am Meer (aber kein direkter Meerblick). Man ist mittendrin in Restaurants, Shops und Galerien. Frühstück sehr gut. (Vorsicht: riesige Portionen). Wir hatten Zimmer zum Garten, sehr ruhig. Direkt zur Straße könnte es gegen morgen etwas lauter werden.

One of the best locations in Hermanus, a stroll from both the seafront and the best parts of town for shops & restaurants. As the name implies, the Auberge Burgundy really does feel like a South of France villa transposed to the (not dissimilar) climate of the Western Cape. The rooms are furnished with impeccable taste and excellent facilities. Those like ours have charming little balconies, room enough for a table and a couple of chairs, perfect as the sun goes down for example. At ground level is a warren of delightful little leafy courtyards - the one closest to our rooms had a fine old wooden table and a fountain watering a small fish pond. My friend loves the on-site spa which she visits every trip and it is also good value. There is no restaurant, but in this location that matters not at all, and breakfast is served very satisfactorily in the restaurant next door. The free welcome drinks (port & sherry) plus honour bar in the little room adjacent to reception complete the Auberge's unique appeal. Free parking - some out front and some underground - is a significant benefit in this location too. The staff are superb and their restaurant recommendations definitely to be trusted.

The hotel is ideally located yards from the sea front and close to cafes, restaurants and shopping. The hotel itself is beautiful and the staff friendly and welcoming.

Hotel location is fantastic, walk to everything. Staff went above expectations and helped out Breakfast was also delicious and good quality
