Valletta Luxe 3-Bedroom Duplex Penthouse with Sea View Terrace and Jacuzzi

Fantastic location, 5 minutes from bars and restaurants

Starting to look a bit tired, needs decorating and damage to kitchen door should be replaced, one decking board is loose and should be screwed down, all minor niggles in an otherwise fantastic stay.

The terrace was wonderful with fantastic views of the Grand Harbour. The lounge/kitchen worked well. The location is excellent, in a relatively quiet area of Valletta but with easy access to all of the historic city. Victoria, our local contact, was very responsive to our needs and couldn't have been more helpful.

The bedrooms were a little disappointing; quite small and with little furniture. Only one bedroom has an en-suite. The two downstairs bedrooms share a bathroom. There is a third bathroom with shower off the kitchen/lounge at the top of steep stairs.

The location of the property and communication before and during the stay was excellent. The outdoor area is lovely, unfortunately we didn’t get the weather to enjoy it to its fullest . Finding a 3 bedroom property that allowed us as a family stay together was a bonus.

Firstly I’ll start by saying there wasn’t anything we didn’t like but there were things that we felt could be improved. The bedrooms are quite small but adequate The furniture could do with some updating - it looked a bit worn . The jacuzzi wasn’t very warm Having copies of instructions for example on how to turn up the jacuzzi and air conditioning / heating unit would be great . Having a welcome book with recommendations of restaurants, nearest bakery etc would have been welcomed as well as a map or some information on local attractions. ( I know people rely on google but sometimes it’s nice to have information direct from locals ).

The Location is great. The terrace is lovely. The living area is spacious. Victoria generally responded quickly and was very helpful. Overall it was comfortable for 3 guys. The wifi was good.

The place is a little tired. The place probably was LUXE but isn't at the moment. Although there are 3 bathrooms one is upstairs by the kitchen, i.e. not that close to the bedrooms. Rooms & bathrooms could do with more hooks etc. We did ask for the main (shared) bathroom to have it's shelf refitted but nothing happened so we didn't ask about anything else.

Good location. 5 minute walk to supermarket, bars and restaurants. Great view from the roof top. Over looks the harbour entrance. The air con is very good. The location made it easy to get to other parts of the island.

The apartment is in need of a full renovation, There is paint peeling off the walls, caused by damp. The showers are disgusting, with black mouldy grout. all the plug sockets are UK style, but bedside lamps, the iron and other basic fittings have a European style plug and therefore do not work. The sliding doors in the kitchen / living area do not lock, leaving the property unsecured. The fridge was rusty with a smell of meat coming from it. The outside space was nice, and a good place to have a drink in the sun. The loungers provided were unusable due to the filthy cushions, you also have to wear shoes when walking on the decking as it is very uneven with sharp edges and protruding screws. The walls are dirty and need painting / cleaning. There was also a broken clothes drier on the terrace. The hot tub was absolutely vile, the was mould growing on the cover and it smelt appalling, We did not dare get in it.
