Y Doc at World Horizons Community Hub

I've stayed in many hostels - this is large, spacious and bright. Free wifi, easy check-in, comfy beds. Room was clean and most areas were clean aside from mess left by other guests.

- No blind in my room so wide awake at 4am both days! Plus there was a bright green security light above the bed - so bring an eye mask. - Very noisy boiler turns on at 5am too, so if the sunlight doesn't wake you, that will! - Noisy building overall - creaky stairs, banging doors, trainline outside. Could hear other guests in and out of their rooms during the night. - The lack of staff is a major issue, especially as a solo female - I saw no staff in the 2 days I was there. I returned at 10pm on my 2nd night, to find the main doors left open, fire doors wedged open, and lights left on, which was pretty unnerving! I locked and closed every door but I didn't feel safe. - Mess left in shared areas by other guests - dirty dishes/cups left in sinks, tissues, noodles and packets left in lounge area. The cleaning cloths that were available in the kitchen were crusty and I could not find any cleaning spray to wipe surfaces. Lots of flies - probably due to lots of food put in recycling bins. While some of the issues are a direct result of inconsiderate guests, I feel that if the accommodation was staffed appropriately, this would be less of a problem. I had no contact number to call and there was no information provided for simple things like where to find the toilets! Lots of wandering around looking for basic things and flicking about 12 different light switches before finding the right one! Done right, hostels are great, but unfortunately, my experience at this one wasn't. Which is a shame as it has a lot of potential. Side note: I felt the bible message on the pillow was inappropriate for a multi-cultural centre. You can express care, and compassion for others without involving your religion!

The hostel is very well kept, clean; my room was big. The kitchen was well equipped. The hostel is close to everything, eg. castles, shops; they have their sandy beach and an outdoor pool

I liked the whole place

Location for Llanelli Triathlon was perfect. I will recomend it to club members for the next event.

The fact that I was travelling with a friend meant I couldn't stop an extra night.

Great facilities, lots to do and to be able to relax with friends.

Doors and stairs were a bit creaky when getting up early or needing to go to the toilet in the middle of the night but I’m being nit picky.

The location was very good with parking. Kitchen facilities were good.

A good location (less than 15 minutes walk from the railway station) which was reasonably quiet. Comfortable bed and a nice lounge area to relax.

The room I had featured a skylight which didn't have a blind, therefore the room was flooded with light from the early morning, not the best when trying to sleep.

I had a good nights sleep

The place is large but was largely empty
