Extremely Disappointing Stay – worst experience ever (caretake - Ramdev and owner - Roshini)

I stayed at Whispering Waters Cottage in Kodaikanal for 3 nights, and it was a terrible experience from start to finish. The owner/caretaker was shockingly rude, arrogant, and completely unprofessional. Despite having clarified all details about the stay and charges in advance, he argued aggressively over money, showing zero courtesy or respect. His behavior was dismissive, impolite, and completely ruined our mood during what was supposed to be a relaxing trip. Instead of hospitality, we were met with hostility and arrogance. On top of that, the property was not well-maintained. It was unclean, poorly managed, and nowhere close to what was promised in pictures or descriptions. I would strongly advise against booking this place. There are far better options in Kodaikanal with professional hosts who actually care about their guests. This place is simply not worth the hassle.

Too beautiful and serene property with scenic mountain view with a small waterfall. Caretaker was really helpful. Totally loved the food and stay here!

Accessibility was difficult as the roads to the property were under maintenance. Staffs could be more pleasant.

I loved the ambience and calmness about the property. it is located interior and perfect place for relaxation.

Restaurant is bit far from the cottages, and for senior citizens it would be tough task to climb/reach without any proper support. Less variety in the food menu. For most of the days we were served the same menu. For the price we are paying, breakfast could have been added as complimentary. Path lamps could have been better as there was very little visibility.
