Central Station Home - Fanale Rentals

The apartment was very clean and spacious. We loved the location as it was very close to the train station which we needed to use a few times and was only a 10-15 minute walk into the heart of Palermo. The balcony was an added bonus although because of the location it could be quite noisy but we loved this - taking in all the sights and sounds of the city! We think the windows on the balcony door were triple glazed as you couldn't hear anything of the traffic etc when they were closed, so we slept peacefully in a very comfortable bed. We had been travelling around Sicily, so having access to the washing machine and iron were great. We didn't use the cooking facilities but it looked as though everything you would need was there, including an air fryer. There were two lifts in the building which was great as the apartment was on the 6th floor.

We weren't given a key to access the main front door and were instead given the code to the intercom system. Unfortunately this wasn't working and so we were given a different code to access the apartment block via a garage door. We were just a little concerned about what might have happened if this also stopped working! Would have been better to have a key. Although there seemed to be plenty of plates etc and cutlery, there did seem to be a lack of mugs and normal glasses. There were plenty of espresso cups and wine glasses. Also, we couldn't make the shower head stay higher up the pole, it just kept falling down - luckily neither of us are very tall - the water was always lovely and hot! We also didn't think there were enough power points - none in the bedroom or living room and only two in the kitchen. Maybe an extension lead would be handy. These were all small issues which didn't detract from a great stay.

Host welcomed us, he was very pleasant and his instructions were clear and helpful and he was very responsive and polite. Apartment is new , clean and beds are very comfortable. Location is 3 minutes from the train station. There are few nice restaurants nearby.

Surroundings - full of immigrants and suspicious people trying to trick you. But that's unfortunately almost general feeling about Palermo.

We stayed in the apartment for a week, it is lovely, although we didn't use much the kitchen and not at all the washing machine. The train station is at the corner, convenient if you travel from or to Palermo airport. The host, Giacomo speaks English and very helpful. The apartment is 15-20 mins walk from the historical center, Botanic garden 7 mins walk. Lidl is also close enough on foot.

The noise insulation in the apartment is quite good but unfortunately it didn't prevent hearing loud music from some of the cars from the street when passing by. Sadly, it is an everyday occurrence, multiple times, day and night but this is not the host fault.

Everything. It was spacious, clean and bright. Lift to 6th floor was great. Kitchen was big and had everything we needed. Loads of storage space. Balcony was lovely. Also access to roof terrace with incredible views over the city, mountains and sea. Any questions I had were answered straight away by text.

Everything.. location so close to train station. Literally less than five minute walk .. great view from balcony.. everything you need if cooking, clean very spacious, wifi brilliant. Most importantly our contact on wattsapp was awesome his name is “GIACOMO “ he was the very best.. he met us at the apartment .. gave us all the codes of entering building etc. but went way and beyond when it came to sending links to different places and things to do in Palermo, our first visit. Even to the supermarket around the corner. . Even went out and brought new coffee pods etc. and organised a car to take us to the airport early one morning.. thank you Giacomo, you really made out stay in Palermo perfect. Well done.

This was by far our best experience with renting an apartment! First of all, the flat - it's new, clean, with modern kitchen equipment, located in the busy city area with shops, restaurants, trattorias, bars, 15 mins of walking to the historic city center in a nice, pretty new/restored building. The balcony with great combination of city and mountains view is a cherry on the top - great place to have your breakfast and coffee before the start of the day. Good air conditioning system has helped a lot to feel very comfortable and cool during the hot days under the Palermo sun, the wi-fi was working without any problems. The pictures of the flat are 100% accurate, so no need to worry that your expectations won't be met. Another part of our accommodation here, which we want to emphasise on is the host - Giacomo is super friendly, the most caring person we have ever met during travelling! His hospitality and help has created our delightful perception of the Italian people.

Tiny request to add kitchen knives, the ones that are currently are good for using them during the meal, but not enough to cut a bread😁

This apartment is simply great. It has all the necessary equipment, is neat and spacious, and can fully satisfy guests traveling with families. The apartment is only 100 meters from the main bus and train station, which is great for all young travelers who want to explore Sicily. There are excellent restaurants and pizzerias nearby. It is possible to reach the most interesting sights of the city with a leisurely walk. The young man Giacomo who takes care of the guests and the apartment is courteous, polite and professional and deserves every thanks.

Place curtains over the window panes in the living room. It is easier to sleep when there are more than two people in the apartment, and an extra bed is used.

The apartment is new, very nice forniture and with plenty of space. The bedroom was very very comfortable, with an amazing view from the terrace. The location was perfect, you could reach out every place by foot.
