Renamed Parea Lodge - be careful about relevant review history! Landlord not customer-friendly and no sense of assuming responsibility/finding solutions to issues faced. He also lied about things, gave incorrect information about the issues to be prepared for, opportunistically after extra money and very rude when things went wrong and was reminded about it. * Before arrival, he did not inform us of the lack of basic supplies at nearby shop. kept suggesting we rent car from him for the stay. * We ask 4hr early checkin he wanted 70 USD as maid needed to come early and no other rooms free. a lie, the key was in the combi lock-no other residents that whole week in any of the five bungalows. * key got sliced in two when main sliding doors opened wide. no door stop to protect the scissor action to protect the key. * his first reaction was to blame us and asked for 50USD to change the lock. * to move us, he needed more money for maid to clean the second bungalow! I put my foot down - it was a design fault but too tired to keep arguing. Paid 50. * Slept under two thin sheets. Two bath towels & floor mat. No hand towels even in kitchenette no replacement bin liners. No cleaning for 4 nights. * No shower-curtains. water splashed all over the toilet - just toilet paper (no holder) to wipe it. * Not informed of water stoppage between 9 pm to 5am, couldn’t shower before going to bed. Said rare event. Same next day - after messaging -he became very rude & even started to berate me for suggesting how to fix the door issue! * Asked for more towels, said OK but didn’t bring. We lived on one towel each, for beach/bath use for entire stay. * Total rip off for 215 USD per night! * Also lied about future being full occupancy - you can check too! * main switch box was in bathroom opposite the shower heads and not in waterproof housing. Within accidental reach of water from shower! * Entry into sea is rocky and the currents make it unsafe to snorkel.
