"Well equipped cottage"

8.0

Lovely cottage in a very convenient location. We thoroughly appreciated the welcome box (milk, bread, jam, porridge, cookies, pistachios, prosecco) and the house had plenty of local maps and guide books as well as shampoo/conditioner/shower gel.

The main thing to be aware of in this house is there is no phone signal at all (there isn't much in Bakewell in general) but the WiFi was also very lacking. We could only load a simple website when only 1 phone was connected but nothing would load if multiple phones were on. Parking wise, there is only 1 parking permit but we were able to free street park another car close to the house.

"Beautiful cottage, amazing location!"

10.0

Beautiful cottage, in a really great location for the heart of Bakewell. The property was so well stocked with everything we needed. The bedrooms were a great size and beds all really comfortable. Fabulous for a group of friends to meet up, go walking and pop into Bakewell for food and drinks of an evening.

very small niggles, arrival is a little tense as the property is on a corner of a road so unloading was a little tense, and as we had 3 cars between us parking is not outside of property. Just to be aware if you are not arriving all together. 2 very minor points in the property, the wifi was almost non existent and the shower was a little shaky, but nothing that took away from the property.

"Charming cottage in a lovely town"

8.0

Charming, character stone cottage only 5 mins walk up the hill from Bakewell village. Lovely, homely furnishing and linens etc. Complimentary breakfast and other goodies. Spacious bedrooms.

The central heating didn't really warm up the cottage for the whole 2 days were we there, even though we left it on overnight. It happened to be a really cold few days in April (5 degrees) so it would be great to have the heating on before guests arrive. The stairs to the bedrooms and bathroom are very narrow and steep - fine for us but not our elderly relative.

"Lovely, cosy, cottage - a really nice place to stay"

7.0

Only 2 x small complaints: Although there was plenty of hot water through all the standard taps, the shower was always cold. Maybe this should be investigated / fixed. The WiFi was very slow but maybe this a wider problem within the town and not just limited to the cottage.

Very clean, well stocked. Great location

No parking on site BUT they gave you a parking permit and a map with all the bays highlighted nearby. Very thoughtful
