Hotel Plaza Colon - Granada Nicaragua

Beautiful building and courtyards, decent breakfast (we liked the fact it had granola and plain yoghurt as an addition to the normal buffet options and egg station), very central location was extremely convenient.

The plaza gets noisy at nights at the weekend- it didn’t stop us sleeping as we had earplugs and the fan drowned out the noise (which I don’t think went too late) but be aware the very central location means this is unavoidable- it’s a trade off. The water in our shower was very weak indeed and never warm in the morning, only the evening- our room was at the far end of the corridor so others may have better pressure.

Très bel hôtel colonial, bien placé dans le centre ville, tout en étant au calme. Bon petit déjeuner. Piscine très agréable. Bon restaurant à côté.

The hotel is excellent. It has a superb location, right on Granada's main square. All attractions are at walking distance, even at night. It also has a private parking which is very convenient if you are coming by car. The hotel is located in a traditional building with a patio, which has a very nice swimming pool in the middle, which unfortunately I did not manage to try. The room I stayed was very nicely decorated and comfortable. The ratio quality/price is good because the quality of the hotel is very high.
