Hidden costs: 1. As bookings.com is a foreign vendor, my bank charged me an "international transaction fee of R111.61, over and above the cost of the 2 days of accommodation. 2. "Guest screening" - This property had hidden guest screening costs which were not disclosed before booking. Before taking occupation, we had no choice but to to engage the services of Truvi.com (which describes its services as "Guest screening and damage protection for vacation rentals"). This vetting process (on the part of the owner) cost us R150, over and above the accommodation fee. Because this is a company based outside South Africa, my bank charged a separate "international transaction fee" of R3.75. 3. Undercover parking in the building - Parking was probably the biggest downside. The building offered undercover parking, but at a cost separate from the accommodation hire. There was no briefing / pre-use explanation of how the parking system worked. On arrival, we were told by the concierge the demarcated undercover parking was free. He even directed us to the supposed allocated parking bay. We were later charged for this parking (R51). We then learned we had to download an app to park in the undercover parking of the building. To add insult to injury, after we returned our rental car & returned to our home city, we received notification of credit card charges linked to our continued use of the parking facility. It turned out someone else had hired the exact same vehicle & parked in the undercover parking, so we were charged R101 for the parking as that vehicle was linked to my credit card. We queried the matter with the vendor & were initially offered a credit (which we refused as we did not plan to use the premises again), and asked for a refund.

Der Check in war katastrophal. Nach 20 Stunden Anreise hat die Security versucht uns für das freie parken in der Tiefgarage freizuschalten. Der Prozess hat 60 Minuten gedauert und war erfolglos. Am nächsten Tag war das Problem behoben Das Appartment ist fototechnisvh hervorragend dargestellt. Die Möbel sind von der Qualität minderwertig. Der Laminatboden ist stark benutzt. Die Couch und die Stühle haben starke Flecken. Eine Waschmaschine ist empfehlenswert und war leider nicht vorhanden. Der Luftfilter im Schlafzimmer könnte erneuert werden. Uns ist bis heute unklar warum wir eine Kaution bezahlen sollten bzw. eine Versicherung für die Möbel erforderlich war.

It was very noisy. There was construction in an apartment above that we were not informed of.

The property is in excellent condition - safe, comfortable and spacious. Loved the outdoor living space and kitchen appliances and overall size of the property. It was quiet and we felt very safe.

We were very thankful for the security guard who showed us where the Nox office was as we didn't receive a code for the parking prior to our arrival. Even when the new code was requested, it only arrived hours later after check in. Luckily our check in person had a Plan B. It would also be great to have a mirror in each bedroom for hairstyling and makeup.
