"Good property, in a fine location but not value for money on a number of fronts."

Delightful location and views. Modern and well maintained property. The pools was nice and clean and the water was a pleasnt temperature. Living space and amenities were very good. Breakfast was very good, hot and cold and plenty to pick from.

Very difficult to navigate around the property, parking awkward, access totally unsuitable for people who have mobility issues. This should have been made clear on booking as the property has many steps and levels to navigate. Rooms had spectacular views, but were small and cramped. Beds were small and mattress and pillows not the most comfortable for a luxury venue. Power tripped 2 nights out of 3 nights and Water tripped overnight so no water in the morning until staff resolved. Dinner menu limited.

Es ist ein wunderschöner Rückzugsort im Douro Valley, perfekt für Ruhe, Erholung und pure Naturerlebnisse. Traumhafte Lage mit Blick auf den Douro.  Einziger Punkt: Die Strassen dorthin sind steil, kurvig und eng.

"You've got to go here!"

The friendly staff, jolly dog and snuggly cat. Wide, open spaces - and a lovely glass of wine, and breathtaking view to finish the day - including warming fire place!

...restaurant menu was limited, although we were lucky enough to have the chef cook "off menu" - beautiful, full flavoured, local seafood and mushroom dishes...no complaints.
