The Gaslight Heritage Residence truly lives up to its name! It's like stepping into a live museum where you can genuinely feel the history all around you, from the exquisite decor to the fascinating stories of the place. Despite its historical feel, it's also wonderfully warm and inviting, with cozy spaces that made our stay incredibly comfortable. Our family absolutely loved everything about it – the beauty and historical charm were truly captivating. Highly recommend!

Just a note for future guests: the main bedroom can be a bit noisy at night due to vehicle sounds. However, the smaller bedroom offers a much quieter alternative, ensuring a restful night's sleep for those who need it. Overall, a fantastic and memorable experience!"

Loved the vibe of the place, the heritage aspects are really highlighted. Having a space for the whole family was excellent and much better than booking a hotel room. Location was great with excellent roti available in Jalan Argyll, laundromat close by and only a short walk to Red Garden, Chulia Street and Komtar, Prangin and 1st Ave shopping centres.

The mat in the lounge room is quite rough under foot. My husband is a bigger man and so we were a bit nervous that some of the furniture may not hold his weight, given the heritage aspects. A larger fridge would have been good to store multiple bottles.

Location was great. The property was stunning. The communication from the host was perfect, speedy responses and happy to provide tips on the local area. The area felt very safe to walk around at night. I can’t fault the stay!

Tastefully decorated and situated in the centre of old town. The place can easily access to many tourist attractions, literally next to Jalan Penang. Interesting vintage shops and convenience stores are all within walkable distance.

Groups with elders pls take note - Unfortunately, there’s no bathroom in the sleep quarter (level 2), both of the bathrooms and toilets are located at ground floor. It’s a hassle waking up in the middle of the night, wanting to use bathroom for the elders. Also, the staircase is rather steep in these old houses, do be careful.
