We stayed at The Jangkar Canggu Guesthouse & Villa for 3 nights, and it was an absolutely wonderful experience. From the moment we arrived, we felt welcome and at ease. The place is peaceful, beautifully maintained, and has a special energy that makes it stand out. Pasan is more than just a host — he became a friend. He went above and beyond in every way, always making sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed. The hospitality here truly exceeded all expectations. This is more than just a guesthouse — it’s a perfectly run place with heart. If you’re coming to Canggu and looking for somewhere relaxing, clean, and full of genuine care, The Jangkar is the place to stay. Thank you for everything!

The bed was slightly uncomfortable

Felt like home away from home. The team at Jangkar was really friendly and helpful. Walking distance to warung sika which serves really good nasi padang, walking distance to I'm Vegan Babe and Secret Spot, and both are plant-based F&B outlets. Good food!

There's nothing I don't like, cause it was exactly what I signed up for. There's no kettle in room, but just have to go to reception and the friendly team will get you hot water!

Overall we had nice experience. Wi-Fi works properly. Staff seemed really nice except when we moved out. We were allowed to check-out an hour later which was nice as my kid got sick, but afterwards surprises followed. Nearby there are shopping options, coffee places, beach in a walking distance.

When we checked-in it didn’t seemed that room was properly cleaned as hairs were on the floor in the room and bathroom. When we moved out one of the staff members came to check our room, which was not done for our fellow traveller in the other room. Bed linnen had stain from coffee. We were requested to pay 250K. When I insisted that all such requests should be made through booking, they backed up. I perceived it as a scam. This ruined all the positive attitude towards staff I had before. By the way staff smokes in the caffee, it literally is a cloud of smoke, very unpleasant if you want to order coffee/food/check-in/out.

This place was very clean, modern and had spacious rooms. It was also so close to everything. We were spoilt for choice when it came to choosing somewhere to eat. The staff were lovely and would ask via whatsapp if we needed anything. The bed was large and comfortable. And the shower was amazing! The WiFi was also very fast.

There were a lot of stray dogs around, and they would bark late at night. But the staff can't really control that. And although the curtains were very good, some light shon into our room from the lights outside, so we didn't have complete darkness when trying to go to sleep. Not a big deal though.
