Strongate Cottage Rural Retreat - near Bridport & Jurassic Coastline

Excellent and kind host. I felt at peace staying there and couldn’t recommend more. Just peaceful. Nice shower, comfortable bed and all the amenities one needs.

I suppose that if you don’t drive, shops are not in waking distance, but in the same breath, if you want peace and quiet, then definitely book here.

Staying at Strongate cottage is perfect if you want some time in a beautiful setting where you can forget about the rest of the world. When sat in the garden or in the cottage you really can believe that it’s only you in the world and it’s just perfect. You are greeted by the geese, ducks and chickens who love to come and say hi if you leave the gate open for them. There’s Chinese, Thai, fish and chips, pizza and chicken takeaway places just 3 miles away in the local town so you can nip in and out for dinner to bring back and supplies. We returned home today from strongate and mentally we feel unhappy that we had to leave as we loved everything about our stay. Perfect for couples & families looking for a base to go out and explore Dorset. Dog friendly too which is a great bonus when you don’t want to leave your pet at home

We came with 2 dogs but garden not enclosed and visited by hens so could not let the dogs out.
