Braeside Cottage - Adorable 2 Bedroom Eco-Friendly Character Cottage

We had an amazing stay in this beautiful cottage. It is very well equipped and comfortable. The outdoor area and garden are beautiful and is a sun trap. The location is a short walk to the town centre. Andreas is an amazing host who was very friendly and helpful and provided us with beautiful homemade shortbread, scones and jam and a dessert. We would definitely like to return here.

The hosts, Andreas and Karen are just lovely, kind, interested and generous. The cottage is exquisite and the garden , plus friendly spoilt blackbird, delightful. We would stay again 😃

The heavy rain spoilt the tv but nothing to be done about that we believe.

Our stay could not have been better! Such a lovely property surrounded by flowers and with a gorgeous view of the hills. Andreas was the perfect host! He made us cookies on arrival, scones and egg buns for breakfasts, an amazing dessert and shared a bottle of wine and one of whiskey! He gave us super ideas for our stay on both days. The cottage was immaculately clean and so sweetly decorated.

We should have planned a longer stay!

There was nothing to dislike. The lounge was warm and cosy, with plenty of radiators and for those cooler evenings, a log burner with wood supplied. The kitchen was modern and clean - the whole cottage was spotless and felt brand new. The en-suites were great, especially the larger one, with a bath (which was very welcome after long hilly walks) - plenty of hot water. Great showers. The beds were comfortable and with lovely quality bedding. The location was ideal (10 min walk into town and plenty of places to see by foot and car. The added bonus was such a welcoming host, who supplied us with warm scones, home made jam, bacon buns and home made shortbread. The week was a wonderful experience. I am sure that I have not mentioned everything! We would love to return.

Nothing to dislike

The location of the cottage was ideal. It contained everything we needed and more and we thoroughly enjoyed sitting in front of the log fire after a day out walking and our evening at The Enchanted First. Our host, Andreas, could not have been more attentive offering us homemade shortbread, soup, sourdough bread and scones with plum jam - just delicious! He also suggested good places for us to visit.

There was nothing not to like. We simply had to accept the slightly steep end of our walk from the main street in the village up to the cottage.

Beautiful views, peaceful, warm and very comfortable. Hosts were very responsive and helpful. Enjoyed the log fire and little home-made treats that were provided as well!

Every care had been taken to make the cottage special, beautiful, comfortable and spotless. Andreas was the perfect host, offering us some lovely home made surprises along the way. I also appreciated how our needs in the cottage had been anticipated, with everything located in intuitive places. I adored the garden and flowers. I felt quite sad to be leaving at the end!

There wasn't a single thing.

ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!! This is definately the best holiday accommodation we have ever stayed in. It is beautifully decorated and had everything we needed for a lovely stay. Andreas was a great host and the beautiful homemade shortbread, scones & jam were appreciated so much, an absolutely lovely touch. We would definately love to stay here again. Thankyou
