Kamili Villas, Bwejuu, Zanzibar

The most personalized service I have ever had in my lifetime of travel since the 80s. Nicole gives guests her personal WhatsApp contact number and responds with any queries and we always felt well cared for. The villa was spacious and even though we had lots of luggage we never felt cramped or low on space. The beds were comfortable and the staff were all very accommodating and went out of their way to help us. From the food and beverage staff were always happy to go beyond there duty, there was one very helpful gentleman who's name I unfortunately don't recall who had evening shift at the restaurant and at breakfast Jennifer was always very pleasent, great with our younger son and really made us feel at home . Honestly I would say all the staff were helpful and friendly and if I don't mention them all by name it's because I simply can't recall all their names. The private pool was really nice and we really regretted not having taken advantage of the BBQ area. Also, laundry services were very affordable and they provided free shuttle service. Paje beach Bento international food court is just 10 min away from the villa which was a plus.

The doors didn't seal very well allowing even larger insects into the house, we had to resort to spraying repellent every night as we would have several large flying insects inside. The insects never stung us and I assume they are harmless. Only missing appliance was a microwave.

We loved everything. It was such a great space. We were a family of 4 and it had everything we needed. The staff were amazing. Nothing was too much trouble. They consistently went above and beyond for us. Nicole took care of every detail making it such a seamless experience and such a great base to explore the area. Our sons (6 and 14) absolutely loved it there too. Best place we stayed in Zanzibar. It felt so safe too. Absolutely amazing experience. Thank you to Nicole and all the staff for the best week.

It was a serene place to get away from all the touristy stuff we did all day. It was a nice haven to come back home to. Very comfortable with everything you need. Staff very accommodating

The road getting there

Kamili Villas is beautiful place to stay, run by super-friendly staff who can't do enough for you. The Villa was stylish, very well equipped and a comfortable place to hang out, the onsite restaurant had a great range of meals and snacks when going out or making food was too much effort, and, when your feeling very lazy, floating breakfast in the privacy of your own pool is an amazing thing! The beach was a short walk, and stunning, transport was available from Kamila to the nearby towns and they helpfully organised a range of trips for us. Zanzibar is a great holiday destination and we had a fantastic time, made all the more special by our stay at Kamili.

There isn't anything to criticise really but another mirror in the bedroom would be good, we were a group of eight girls, trying to get ready at the same time, so you can't have too many mirrors!

Kamili villas offers the perfect blend of comfort and luxury, with every detail thoughtfully designed to ensure a truly relaxing experience. I highly recommend these villas to anyone seeking a luxurious stay ! All the staff are very friendly and helpful, fulfilling everything we needed. A big shout out to Jennifer for her fantastic waitress service.

I've just returned from an amazing week in Kamili Villas, the villa and the surroundings was stunning. Beautiful plants, flowers and palm trees surrounded the private pool which was maintained every day and comfy sun loungers to soak up the sunshine. The villa was not too far away from the white sandy beaches. Sam arranged all the excursions as well as providing a mini bus and driver. Sam and her team went over and beyond to make my stay so special and I can't thank them enough. Zanzibar itself was incredible, I don't think I have ever visited a country so beautiful. Has to be one of the best holidays I have ever had and I can't wait to return. Thank you Sam for a holiday of a lifetime! x

Leaving Zanzibar to return to the UK.

The food was very good. I could not complain about anything, the villa was beautiful and very well equipped and located not too far from the beach which was beautiful white sand and stunning views and the complex arranged transport for us to explore the island . The host and all the staff were very friendly and attentive, the villa was very clean and comfortable. I had a great holiday .

The villas could do with a full length mirror, otherwise nothing to complain about !

We have just returned from our week stay at Kamili Villas in Zanzibar and felt that I just had to write a review. Samantha her her team arranged our transfer from the airport to the Villas which took about 45 mins. On arrival we where greeted in the reception area with welcome drinks and cold flannels before being taken to our villas. The Villas are just perfect two double bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms , open plan lounge and kitchen with a further double sofa bed. The villas are beautifully decorated and probably the most comfortable bed I have ever slept on ( I usually miss my own bed when I’m on holiday ) The kitchen was well equipped with everything you could need if you wanted to self cater. The outside space did not disappoint large patio area with comfy sofas , BBQ area and an amazing private pool with sun longer . The outside space is private and the palm trees provided welcome shade. The complex itself was also beautiful we really enjoyed eating our meals in the tree house which provided the most amazing views .The hoist arranged for us to have a private chef who cooked a BBQ with fresh fish, meats, potatoes & salad everything was delicious. We opted to eat breakfast every day at the restaurant having fresh fruits , pastries, omelet’s before heading out to explore the island. Zanzibar wow what can I say I have never been to such an amazing place, the beaches , the people so friendly and welcoming. The hoist was a great source of knowledge telling us the best places to visit to enhance our experience they arranged our excursions and even provided a shuttle service to the local beaches. We were 8 girls celebrating my birthday the staff made us all feel so special providing a birthday cake and arranging an outside cinema experience with popcorn it was so wonderful and the staff so attentive. Thank you for providing an experience of a lifetime I have falling in love with Zanzibar and I will be back to stay with you all again ❤️

The villa is perfect, I loved the privacy and the bed is so comfortable. Nothing was too much trouble for Sam and the staff, they organised all of our trips out which made our holiday even more special. We had the best holiday in Zanzibar and we will be back!

Place is nice.

Need to improve on WiFi, generator was on and off at times. Also, they switched off water early in the morning, I had to shower with drinking bottled water. Why switch off water?
