The Moorings Hotel & Restaurant

The interior design , the dining room was very elegant and Maddies bar was refreshing and a modern style. I loved the colour scheme throughout the property. The food was delicious, the choice and in particular the breakfast and Sunday lunch , absolutely the best I have ever experienced. The staff were a super team too, and very good at their job. Everybody was friendly and made our stay very enjoyable . We will be back .

What a fantastic find this hotel proved to be. We ate in the restaurant(superb) Maddies (fun food)and had breakfast. The choice was excellent and offered many different options not often available on a usual breakfast menu. The restaurant offered great choice and was delicious Coffee was served in a good sizes cup and it was of high quality Our room overlooked the very pretty bay. It was clean and well appointed with a very welcome coffee machine The front of house team were friendly and efficient and it was delightful to be greeted by the owners of the hotel each morning. A very nice touch and made the hotel a very special place to stay

A delightful hotel with exceptional staff. Food was excellent Location charming.

Everything about this boutique hotel was perfect for us. Casual friendly feel but with impeccable food and drinks, service and little touches. Staff all wonderful from top down. Location perfect. Beautiful spot, great view and easy parking. Also had some great chats with various locals who are obviously regulars. We'll definitely be back!

Lovely comfortable and spotlessly clean room with a beautiful view. Nice big bath and bathroom. Very comfortable bed, nice pillows and bed linen. Staff super friendly and helpful. Delicious breakfast and the staff were very accommodating serving a speedy breakfast for myself and 4 guests who arrived late!!!

The staff here are lovely and welcoming - nothing is too much and it's a personal service. The food options in both restaurants and on the terrace are delicious, interesting and well-presented. Good value too. Little touches like fresh milk in mini-thermos for early morning tea, sun hats and umbrellas to borrow for guests. Location is lovely: overlooking the harbour, close to good bus service, in the shadow of Mont Orgeuil, perfect swimming spot at the end of the road.

The rooms are pleasant, but modest - this is not a slick modern hotel - but as long as you understand this, it is a lovely place to stay.

We had a room with an excellent view of Gorey harbour. We arrived two hours before checkin,but as the room was ready we were able to check in early.Breakfast was excellent with a very varied choice…..we particularly enjoyed the yogurt ,fruit compote and freshly made granola . Dinner at Maddies restaurant was also very good with a good choice ….try the fresh garlic bread….it was delicious .We had an excellent afternoon tea ,the sandwiches scones and little cakes were very tasty .

Having to leave ! We will book for a longer stay next time.
