The Moorings Hotel & Restaurant

We recently had a wonderful stay at the beautifully presented Moorings Bar & Restaurant beside Gorey Harbour in Jersey. The quality of the service by all staff, the food and the layout were great. Proprietors Iselin & Matthew were excellent hosts & could not have been more helpful in making our short break experience more memorable. If you are looking for a lovely location, a friendly welcome, great service, then The Moorings is highly recommended.

The staff were exceptionally good and had time to chat and assist as required. The breakfast was had plenty of choice, the evening meals were well presented and good to eat. Our room was clean and the bath was big.

Great location, a little gem of a hotel with exceptional food and very attentive staff. We were made to feel very welcome totally relaxed

Delicious food, well presented and lovely surroundings. The staff were all friendly and attentive. Nothing was too much trouble.

The toilet flush in our room was difficult to flush. The shower wasn't very powerful.

Wir hatten eine perfekte Woche im Moorings Hotel. Gastgeber und Team waren ausgesprochen herzlich und aufmerksam, wir haben uns von Anfang an wohlgefühlt. Die Zimmer sind sehr gepflegt und gemütlich. Besonders hervorzuheben sind die beiden Restaurants: von leckeren Sourdough-Pizzen über à-la-carte-Gerichte bis hin zu frischen Jersey-Austern zur Happy Hour. Ambiente und Publikum angenehm gehoben, Speisen und Getränke von außergewöhnlicher Qualität. Ein kleines, feines Hotel - wir kommen sicher wieder!

The best food in Jersey! We’ve been to many, many places over the years, and this one is unbeatable. For those who, like us, are crazy about good food — look no further. The location is fabulous, again one of the best on the island. The view of the castle and the walks on the beach are to die for. And you would never expect this quality of rooms from a place that is famous as a restaurant — it’s better than most 4* hotels on the island.
