* Good location on my way. * Nice estate, with a small museum inside. Besides, there were chapel, pool, a building for the family... * I fully enjoyed the views to Pico Matias Simão from the pool area. * Very good breakfast, great flexibility!

I missed a doorbell at the entrance door.

The caretaker Roberto is a fantastic guy. He made us a great dinner, local dish. Super service. The old farm is converted to holiday rooms while keeping the antique atmosphere.

Quinta do Rossio is a truly authentic >100 years old traditional building complex located in Biscoitos, Terceira island. Every single detail takes you back in time, but it also meets modern expectations. Owned by long line of generations but beautifully maintained through decades it gives you an insight of a family of great human values. There is a "museum hall" where you can see precious historic furnitures and collections of various vintage objects such as lighters, oil lamps, etc. The buildings are located up on the hill in a lush, well-maintained garden with a pool in the middle. We were taken care by the owner's representative Roberto, a native of Terceira island, a fantastic all-round man, who prepared the rich and delicious breakfast of local produce for us every morning in the dining building, who told us lots of interesting stories, facts about the island, gave great tips and always helped us in all way he could. His kind personality and presence gave us security and a feeling of belonging. The room is furnished with authentic furniture, the bed comes with comfy matraces, the private bathroom is small, but functional. Everything is spotlessly clean thanks to the cleaning lady who came ever day. The only thing we feel sorry to miss is to taste Roberto's local meal alcatra, we did not have the time for that. Biscoitos is easy to reach by car and it is easy to reach other great spots of the island from here.

Fabulous location, it is an old luxury mansion, there is even a private church. Very well maintained, most of the furniture is antique.

The only (little) problem is the toilette, a bit out of date . . . as the other furniture. But it is part of the experience - you are in a kind of museum !

The swimming pool was great with a beautifull view over the ocean. There is a large garden with various plants.

There was no privacy at all. The landlord did not leave us space. I am not sure if someone would feel comfortable when eating with a man staring at us all the time during the breakfast, standing above us. There is only one table for all the guests and everybody has to eat together. The breakfast starts at 9 oclock, so if you plan your trip earlier, you have to prepare your own breakfast. There are not a lot of cups and plates, unfortunatelly. The room was dark with a lot of moisture. If you read previous comments, you can realize that all of those comments regard the landlord. That information should have striken me before the booking.

The host was wonderful: loving and caring and the structure was in a wonderful garden with a luxurious view from the pool. We had wonderful suggestion on things to do and place to eat. The breakfast was really diversfied and good.

The room was little and a little bit humid. There was a problem in the shower in term of water going out, we pointed out to the owner and he’ll take care of that in the future!
