Chalet is lovely decorated family house.

Check in Instructions we received were wrong, it is the last thing you want after doing a climb up with a child and owner was not really friendly when we had to call him. Chalet is a climb away, not suitable for everyone clearly, but we did not mind. It did make it difficult to get around. But main reason for enjoying our stay was the attitude of the owner. This is not how hosts communicate. He almost destroyed our stay by creating a scene because we used a mattress for our 2 y.o. son to sleep on the floor. Messaged me via booking.com, emails and even private call for this. He compared us to his travel habits (as if we never go anywhere) and made us feel very unwelcome. Upper floor door was stuck and instead of forcing anything, we informed him. A lady showed up (unannounced knocking the door so we even got scared!), who was really unwelcoming and closed the door with some known "technique". Overall feeling from her and owner was as if we did something wrong, while we just wanted to avoid damaging their house.

The whole cottage was very clean and everything was in very good condition. There is also enough space for four people to be comfortable. Communication with Urban was flawless and questions were answered quickly. The cottage is equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. Small note: the road is tolled and you can pay €10 on site each time you enter (card, coins, notes). We would love to come back!

The view is wonderful😊 the cabin is out of the way and you have your own privacy. The squirrels and the fox came to visit 💜

Just WOW! Ok, it's a short climb to get here, and you need to prepare to take a backpack and not a suitcase, but this place is amazing. I loved the morning coffees in the sun on the deck. We did some great hikes from the place. It's ssuuuuuper well equipped. A heaven. Want to come back soon

Two more chairs for outside would make this place even better. Nothing else, we just absolutely love it.

Really unhappy with the way information was drip fed to us. The property description does not say that it requires an uphill hike in the snow during Winter to get to the accomodation and the existing reviews informing people of this had not been posted yet when we booked on 1 Jan 2024. It was only after Booking.com charged us on 14 Feb and we weren’t able to get refunded anymore did the owner tell us that we would have to hike for 10 minutes and to arrive during the day. This was too late as we had already booked our flights which arrived at 4pm. It was snowing heavily by the time we got to the parking and we weren’t able to find the hike track as it was very dark and the snowmobile, which we had enquired several times about, was not available. The owner told us to not do the hike and drive back down to another place. In the end we drove halfway down the mountain and booked another accomodation for 2 nights instead. We were chatting to people at the other accomodation and were informed that actually the hike up in the snow would have been closer to 30 minutes. We did not end up going to the cabin at all.

House was lovely but access was not as advertised - highly inaccessible and owner disagreeable. See below.

Inaccessable and dangerous route in winter unfortunately. Host informed us *post-payment* that parking (which I now see he has changed to accurately list that there is none...) was in fact far away, and we had to walk in 10-15min. He offered snow transport for an additional fee, yet also informed that his 3 children aged 1-9 'always walk to the cottage,' so following this information we agreed to walk in. It turned out to be a steep uphill hike literally up ski runs, which were incredibly icy - so much so we could not walk at all, and had to turn back. Not before I slipped and fell some 50m hurting my finger badly (been referred to phsyiotherapy since but thankfully not broken). Thankfully the nearby restaurant Florian lent us shoe spikes and hiking poles and helped us walk to the property - this entire debacle could have been avoided simply by informing us clearly ahead of time to bring shoe spikes. Owner was disagreeable on the phone when I complained about this (it ultimately took us over an hour to reach the property, with bruises and injuries incurred...). He veered between stating that he could never have predicted such weather conditions and couldn't have possible foretold the need to bring spikes, and contradictorily stating that we should always bring such things anyway in the winter. He stated that if he were to visit the Croatian coast, he wouldn't expect the hosts to provide him with bathing suits. Essentially uncooperative and we wished the full information had been posted prior - what if people with mobility issues had tried to book in and only found out upon arrival at night that it was a difficult route in?

There is no road to the facility at all. You have to go on foot, uphill with all your luggage through deep snow, and there is no warning about this anywhere on the booking page. The host did not welcome us at all. Nor did he provide us with any help to somehow get to the facility in an easier way (or at least to deliver the luggage).
