GrandStay Hotel & Suites Algona

Amazing staff and amenities were all part of the enjoyable stay. I just got off 18 day run of Indiana doing work and have to say the Grandstay Hotel topped all the others! Exception of maybe the Comfort Suites which was only a year old. Great job everyone, keep doing what you do. It's been a pleasure staying at your facility. Thanks.

Clean, new which only lasts so long

Walls and doors are thin….because we brought a dog, we were treated like 2nd class and a major inconvenience to the hotel. I feel like in this day and age, it is more common for people to have pets stay with them than not and this hotel needs to get in touch with reality. I had booked two rooms both extended stay rooms after and being downgraded in room plus charged a pet fee, I paid 225 dollars for a plain Jane queen room which is 75 dollars more than the hotel room normally costs. When they downgraded my room, they left the price the same as the extended stay rooms I had booked previously. An absolute con in my opinion.

Staff was friendly and helpful, hotel was clean, view was of a partially frozen pond and a snowy fiels with several deer on Saturday evening. Very pleasant.

I enjoyed my breakfast, but when my brother went to eat later there was no sausage or eggs left.
