The Greyhound on the Test Hotel

Location, atmosphere, staff, service.

The room was too hot and I couldn't find how to turn the radiator off. To be fair, I didn't ask for help, so my fault.

The liquorice allsorts were a pleasing touch but a biscuit would have been welcome on our tea tray.

The TV was difficult to start . We had to turn the power off and on at the wall before it would work. (The same problem applied in our friends room). It took us several minutes to work it out.

On the road with noise and only able to open one window as room was so hot. Pointy bed side “table” and room felt small

The restaurant was excellent and the food top notch. The room was very comfortable with a large bed and it was relatively quiet. The breakfast was very good. Car parking was not a problem even though the car park is quite small.

The drinks, particularly the gins, were expensive - the pub across the road was much cheaper - and the staff did tend to disappear from the bar area at times and the younger staff were not engaging. The building is old so ceilings are low and therefore the shower in the bathroom was too low for me.

Small amount of noise in the evenings. At times the difficalty parking in the car park.
