The staff at Kakatar is very nice and helpful. Helped us booking the taxi to the airport and with food recommendations. Nice rooftop terrace!

The WiFi in the room could be better. The mattress seemed and felt a little bit old.

Abdul is such a kind and funny host who was always there for any questions.

Our family of five occupied a two bedroom apartment featuring two full bathrooms, a sitting room with three sleeper sofas and a kitchen. The residence was clean and the beds were comfortable. Additionally, it boasted a rooftop terrace offering views of both the ocean and the city. We enjoyed breakfast there one morning, played cards, listen to music, and celebrated New Year’s Eve. You’re in walking distance to store, food, vendors, and five minute walk to Paradise Beach. We arrived at 5a, Abdul scheduled a vehicle to pick us up from the airport, and allowed us to check-in without any hesitation. Also, Abdul and his staff were always accessible whenever we needed them. He has a nice and friendly staff.

What is not to like about Kakatar? The location is close to the ocean and located in the easy going middle of the real Dakar. If you into surfing, you hit the jackopt. A short drive away from the city center, which is a cheap ride when you use the Yango app. The owner Abdul and his staff go out of their way to help you organize your days or trips, and can sometimes take you on a tour to show you all those special places where you never would go because you didn't know they existed. The mornings with breakfast at the rooftop are the best way to start your day,. And in the evening relaxed gatherings of friends, staff and geusts occur, and on many occasions spontaneous jamsessions happen. I loved every minute at Kakatar.
