Albachiara Hotel - Las Terrenas

We had a pleasant stay at Hotel Albachiara. The hotel is very clean, the location is excellent, and the staff were friendly and polite throughout our visit.

we were disappointed with the payment experience. The final price did not match what was shown on Booking, as a different exchange rate was applied. We were also told that we needed to pay in cash to maintain the original price; otherwise, it would cost more. We did not find this clear or entirely honest

The rooms were well equipped with kitchen, AC, and bathroom with shower. The terrace had sun blocking rollershades so you could still enjoy being outside regardless of where the sun was. The hotel was directly across from the beach and within walking distance of all the bars and restaurants. The hotel staff were always friendly and extremely helpful. The breakfast was freshly prepared and very good. Our dogs were very welcome on the property which made for a very relaxing vacation for us. Surprisingly for the DR, the area had very little street noise.

I can't recall anything that I didn't like. Maybe some extra pillows.
