If you want to visit the Gole Dell'Alcantara, this B&B is a really good place to stay. About ten minutes by car to the official entrance. The citys around like for example Linguaglossa are also worth the trip.

The view of Castiglione and Mt. Etna from the dining area is stunning. The proprietess is a bundle of warm energy and a quintessential Italian mother: most of the morning pastries she made herself, and there was an overabundance of them! They were *so* good. We did a little walk right from the B&B into the Alcantara gorge, which was delightful. The photo of breakfast does not include all the fruit and pastries.

The restaurant options in Francavilla are limited. On the other hand, they're very inexpensive.
