Private Joglo in heart of Sanur

The host, Dave (a Swedish guy) very friendly. Hard working local staff clean and take care of any issues. Towels, trash and any small issues fixed very quickly. Spacious 2 bedroom villa. Very nice garden with outdoor sitting and lounging chairs.

Advertised pool is a shared pool and is right in front of the hosts villa. His dogs, which he has several, swim in the pool. No thanks - not worth the risk of catching some disease. Noisy location - at times unbearable. Lots of motor bike noise especially early morning and well into the evening. Our children were awoken by noise many times. The box of ear plugs is helpful. Privacy is an issue at this villa - normally if you rent a villa the enclosed garden space is a private zone but here the owner, his staff and others come and go. Once the host actually entered the villa when we were not home to add some new plates to the kitchen. Really not acceptable. Several times my wife was shocked to be getting changed but realised there were people walking around outside near the windows. Really not good enough!! Villa could be cleaned to a higher degree especially under beds and in corners where there are lots of dust and cob webs. Pretty much have to get a grab to everywhere you want to go but does mean there are many less tourists around this part of Sanur.

An absolutely perfect stay. The value for money is outstanding. The accommodation is beautiful, authentic, very well maintained, and ideally located in the heart of Sanur while remaining peaceful. The owner is incredibly kind and available. I had a truly exceptional human connection with him, which made the experience even more special. In addition, he offers on-site textile printing, which allowed me to have T-shirts printed and even inspired me to create bandanas for my family. An experience far beyond just a place to stay.

It's beautiful, the host is friendly, very good street food nearby, friendly dogs. You can't go wrong here.

Location was far from any restaurants or cafes. Breakfast not included and we were given 2 packets of instant coffee when I asked for coffee.

The attitude of the host who is a foreigner… not Balinese. We were met at the gate by the owner and two barking dogs including a Rottweiler . We had a small dog. Although scary looking The owners dogs were friendly but overbearing . There was no toilet paper near the toilet and when I asked the host he came in and found a huge packet of toilet paper from his storage and thrust it at me and said, « is this enough? » Nothing was explained about where to find things, how to plug in the water dispenser, where the duvet was etc. And anytime we asked he was very aggressive and rude, The swimming pool is right in front of the owners villa surrounded by bright lights and he showed us where dogs swim in part of the pool. It was so disagreeable that although we had paid, we left at 4:00 pm on the second day and found another place.
