I recently had the pleasure of staying on a houseboat, and the experience was truly exceptional. The location of the houseboat is superb, offering stunning views and a serene environment that made for a perfect getaway. The rooms were nothing short of luxurious, providing all the comforts and amenities one could ask for. The owner's hospitality was outstanding. In the event of a power cut, he promptly ensured we had electricity by arranging for a generator, which was greatly appreciated. Additionally, he went above and beyond by assisting us in booking a taxi service for our entire trip. His efforts didn't stop there—he even managed a last-minute booking for our drop-off from Pahalgam to Jammu, making our travel arrangements smooth and stress-free. Overall, the combination of the beautiful location, luxurious accommodations, and the owner's exceptional service made for an unforgettable stay. I highly recommend this houseboat for anyone seeking a relaxing and well-catered experience.

It was ultimate location in mid of Dul lake, Breathtaking views of lake, mountain and skys. Excellent hospitality, humble and coutious staff with tasty food. They serve breakfast and meals as per our convineance. Overall experiance was wonderfull, at single place you will get arrangments for sight seeing and shikara ride with reasonable rates and trusted persons. Safe and secure place to live.

Everything was nice

Perfect even for a solo traveler. The host family was amazing, the owner is very kind and helpful. The view from the lake is beautiful. Couldn’t have a better experience !

Staying at Movieland was truly an experience of a lifetime, and I will return. One of the absolute most unforgettable stays anywhere. I never even imagined that I would be staying on a lake in Kashmir, and next thing I knew, I made lifetime friends (really family) with whom I will stay in touch for the rest of my life. The food, hospitality, scenery, location, and availability of staff to provide services and recommendations, as well as setting up tours, is incredible. I felt both like a king and like a part of the family at the same time! Javeed and his family took care of me, showed me around town, took me on tours of the lake, and set up a trekking tour in the Himalayas for me, which should be an unquestionable bucket list trip for anyone. I can't say enough. Life-changing is the easiest word, I suppose. The Shangloos also made me feel like I was part of the family. I even got to experience a wedding on a house boat with Javeed and Riyaz. Also, something I will never ever forget. The houseboat is super charming and cozy. Chilling on the porch and just reading a book is time to be treasured. I learned a lot about being tranquil and slowing down while being here. It was a true break and vacation from my hectic lifestyle. Eating meals with the family was also unforgettable. I really felt welcome and touched by their attention, hospitality and friendship. I can't recommend this enough. Don't hesitate. Be open to a life-changing experience. Relax, explore, belong, enjoy.
