Caldera Cave Hotel

I want to share my experience so that other people don’t fall for this scam. The hotel is well located, but it is in terrible condition. The rooms have a strong mold smell, sand was falling onto the bed, the bathroom was clogged, and the room heater did not work — especially during a very cold period. In addition, the staff were not friendly, except for one young man who worked at the café and was very polite. I did not enjoy the experience. For the high price we paid for the stay, the minimum I expected was a room that matched the promised standard. We deserve better, and unfortunately that was not delivered.

Superbe petit hôtel au cœur d'Uçhisar avec une vue incroyable sur le château. Meilleur emplacement possible. La chambre 101 a un bel espace avec fauteuil et une vue direct sur le château. Tranquillité absolue. Le petit déjeuner est très copieux et le personnel adorable. Le restaurant Senza est très bon.

La chambre est un peu humide et il y a quelques escaliers pour y parvenir. Mais c'est le cas partout dans la région.

Fantastic breakfast

The food and the location were the only positive part of the stay here. The hotel has its own restaurant which is pricey but it’s positioned as a premium restaurant with a view of the fairy chimneys so can’t complain. Given the hotel is situated with a view of the fairy chimneys the view was amazing. It’s a shame I can’t say the same about the staff and hotel room itself

Honestly really bad experience. I would have stayed in Göreme but literally chose the hotel for the views and the hot tub. Really regret staying here. The hotel manager was so nonchalant about the hot tub not working like “yeah shit happens, suck it up”. Firstly the room I had booked came with a hot tub. The first night me and my wife were tired from travelling with no sleep so hadn’t checked the hot tub was working which is the hotel’s responsibility. When we tried the hot tub on the second night it wasn’t working. The hotel staff checked it and they needed a technician to come and fix it the next day (check out the picture I have uploaded to see how filthy the hot tub is when he opened the cover). They offered us a hot tub in another room but only for that night since the room had other guests booked for the next day. They said it would be fixed the next day and when I messaged them the next day they said it was fixed. I came back to the hotel that night to find it still wasn’t fixed. Instead of giving me a refund they wanted to offer me another room and a free dinner but I told them I was checking out a day earlier so couldn’t do this. The hotel manager Gokhan then started to insult me and tell me that I have and intentions when I requested a refund given only picked this hotel for the hot tub, otherwise I could have stayed in goreme Second problem was that my wife’s wedding ring was stolen which we left in the room with her other jewellery. I’m pretty sure the technician took it but obviously he denies this. I’ve travelled to 20+ countries and never had anything stolen. Some other problems were that’s on the stairs down to our room the tile were broken and the power sockets in one side of the bed were not working.

ウチヒサール城の目の前のロケーション。フレンドリーなスタッフ。清潔感のある室内。周辺のレストランや売店にも歩いていける。シャワーの水圧も温度も問題ない。 隣接したレストランも美味しい。 朝ごはんがとても美味しい。 とても素晴らしい。

道路の先が行き止まりなのでツアーのピックアップは大変かも。
