Vilamendhoo Maldives Resort Island

House reef pazzesco, varietà e quantità di pesci tropicali e pelagici incredibile. Ogni giorno ci ha riservato una sorpresa, emozionandoci ogni qualvolta mettevano la testa sott’acqua. Mari ci ha accolto con amore e pazienza, sapendoci consigliare le escursioni che hanno reso la nostra vacanza indimenticabile. La nuotata con le mante grande esperienza da pelle d’oca. Restaurant staff professionale di alto livello (un grazie a Samir, Meezad e Zin Zin) e buffet ricchissimo sia a colazione che pranzo e cena. Insomma in poche parole tutto perfetto!!!

La gentillesse du personnel, le snorkeling tout autour de l'île sur le tombant, les installations de loisirs sur l'île, le restaurant et la variété des menus.

Tout est en option payante ! Pour organiser une sortie en mer par exemple, il faut ajouter au prix de base : le materiel obligatoire (non inclus), le service et les taxes. Le montant total augmente en conséquence de 30%. De plus, les tarifs pratiqués sont exhorbitants : nous avons ainsi renoncé à une partie de paddle, ou à l'apéro le dernier soir, ou encore au barbecue sur la plage. C'est dommage ! L'attente à l'aéroport pour prendre l'hydravion a été assez longue : 4h30 au lieu des "1h à 2 h" annoncées par l'hôtel.

The majority of the staff at the resort were warm, welcoming, and consistently friendly. I was especially impressed by my room attendant and dining attendant — both were fantastic. My garden room was spacious and comfortable. Although it showed some signs of age and wear, it was spotlessly clean and serviced twice daily, which I really appreciated. The location was very good — quiet, close to the dining area, and with a lovely garden outlook. That said, next time I would definitely book a beachfront room, as the views of the water from those rooms were beautiful. I opted for the full-board package, which included all three meals at the buffet. The variety and quality of the food were excellent, and the rotating theme nights added an extra layer of flavor to an already impressive selection. Kudos to the chefs and kitchen staff. The beaches surrounding the island were absolutely beautiful and offered excellent snorkelling right off the shore. I also joined several morning snorkelling excursions and was incredibly lucky to see whale sharks, a large group of manta rays, turtles, and dolphins. The boat crew was highly professional and made each trip smooth and safe. One of my favorite spots on the island was the adults-only pool area. It had a beautiful outlook, was always peaceful, and featured a nearby bar for drinks and light food. I especially appreciated the absence of music from the bar — just the sounds of the ocean and palm trees made it a relaxing space. Overall, it was an enjoyable and rejuvenating stay.

While my room was centrally located on the island, I found getting around to other areas quite challenging due to a recent foot injury. The resort does not offer a golf cart or buggy service like others do which is something to keep in mind when booking for those with mobility issues or other physical concerns. While most of the staff were friendly, I did find some of the reception team could be more attentive and accommodating. I experienced a couple of long waits when trying to get information about tours, and the checkout process was impersonal. Also, on checkout, it is useful to check the final bill carefully. I found incorrect charges that increased my bill total, although they were eventually corrected.

We had 10 days booking for water villas and we loved it. It was the best holiday ever ❤️

We had a wonderful stay at Vilamendhoo resort. The island is absolutely beautiful – white sand truly Maldivian beaches, crystal-clear water, and stunning views. The house reef was a highlight, it’s just a short swim from the beach and full of colorful fish and coral. We were lucky to see baby sharks, sea turtles, and stingrays while snorkeling. The hotel itself was great too, the room was fresh, spacious, and clean. The hotel stuff was friendly and helpful. Food at the buffet restaurant had a good variety every day, and the desserts were especially delicious! Overall, it was a relaxing and magical experience. Highly recommend.

Very beautiful resort, the waterbungalows are stunning, house reef with turtles, rays and sharks to snorkel and dive on the doorstep.

Great resort! Stayed in standalone beach villa. Very comfortable and clean. Furniture is in a good condition. Can see management maintain the resort well. Often, in other Maldivian resorts have seen furniture looking a bit worn, but at Vilamendhoo it was in a good condition across the resort. Excellent food! Buffets were great and menu changed daily. Really delicious. Fantastic staff across the resort. Friendly and helpful. Really enjoyed the Sunset Bar post daily diving activity. Lovely adults only area. Euro-divers run the dive operations at the resort. We had a great experience diving with them.
