Cadre charmant avec plusieurs bungalows avec un hôte très attentionné qui nous a été très utile pour notamment la location de scooters mais aussi pour réserver le Manta Snorkeling ainsi qu’un taxi pour notre départ. Bon petit déjeuner inclus pour bien commencer la journée. Top !

Nice people, nice place

The owner and his family who run the place are friendly, with someone usually on-site during the day if you need something. The grounds are lovely - plenty of coconut trees and other plants, without being too overloading. Large parking area out the front, off the road, so if you're hiring a scooter you can park this there. The bungalow itself was clean and comfortable, with room service daily. Air conditioner nice and cold, as was the fridge. The bathroom attached to the back is huge, with good water pressure and hot water. Soap is provided both by the hand basin and in the shower via wall mounted dispensers. Spent 8 nights here / on Penida as a last-minute getaway, so my accommodation choices were incredibly limited (got the last room here for that period). Although I was initially hesitant about staying further from the "main strip" than I'd normally like (e.g. near the harbour), I would gladly stay here again next time as for the price this venue more than exceeded my expectations. As others have said, it doesn't have a pool... nor does it have an on-site restaurant (except for breakfast), but there are plenty of other swimming options on Penida, and plenty of places to eat a short walk or drive away.

Transfers to / from the harbour weren't included despite comments from others - had to pay for a taxi, which cost more than the fast boat ride over, so this was disappointing. There is no restaurant onsite despite the name - breakfast is offered albeit it a limited offering and only between 7am and 9am, but understandable given the number of bungalows on the site (less than a dozen). Staying in the bungalow closest to the kitchen I would wake up to the sound of the staff getting breakfast ready each morning at about 6:30am - they weren't being noisy, but I think the walls on the bungalow being thin probably didn't help with this. Although frustrating at first, I saw it as a way to ensure I'd be up for breakfast, and as a way of not sleeping through the day / wasting the morning.
