Cosy 3-bedroom house in Aspley Nottingham

We booked and paid for this property over a month in advance and received full confirmation. On the day of arrival—just hours before we were due to check in we were suddenly told the accommodation was “not available.” Communication was poor and inconsistent. We had to repeatedly chase for updates while the host claimed to be “on hold with Booking.com,” leaving us completely in limbo with no confirmed place to stay. No alternative accommodation was proactively provided, and there was no sense of urgency or responsibility. From how this was handled, it’s very hard to believe this was a genuine issue like maintenance. This felt like a double booking situation where our reservation was dropped in favour of another booking, likely at a higher price. The explanation given did not add up and appeared to be a cover rather than the truth. The most unacceptable part: we were charged for the booking and still have not been refunded. Being left without accommodation on the day of arrival, after booking a month in advance, is bad enough. Being charged for it on top of that is outrageous. We were travelling for an international tournament and needed reliability. Instead, we got stress, uncertainty, and zero accountability. A confirmed booking should mean exactly that. Avoid.

Great host clean and comfortable property

There were facilities to wash and cook.

Didn't like the fact that our accommodation was changed to a new location at the last minute to a place that was not at the same standard as I booked. The couch was uncomfortable, the toilet and shower on the lower floor too small. There were no bathmats. But the worst was the distance we were from the city, further out and we lost our off-street parking. We had a hire car and worried where we had to park it up the side of the house. Not what we booked. It actually was not properly cleaned with a sticky kitchen floor and the top shower screen showing soap scum. Overall very disappointed with no choice in the matter.

Property was clean and very well furnished with plenty of various appliances available for us! The range of amenities exceeded our expectations and made our stay very pleasant and enjoyable.

That we stayed for a few nights only! We would love to come back!

The living area was nice and spacious, arranged well for watching TV and relaxing. The TV was big which was great. The beds were pretty comfortable and the shower had reasonable water pressure unlike most places we have stayed.

They could have done a bit more with the garden now it’s getting warmer.
