Sanderling House, with parking - walk to beach

Lovely getaway for a couple of days away from home. Booked very last minute and host very responsive to messages. Property spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. Great location, quiet but easily walkable to local shops and eateries. Lots to do in the local area for all ages. We’d have happily stayed longer! Thanks for a great stay.

Nothing not to like!

Fantastic location, just a 10 minute walk to the beach and around 25 minutes to East Wittering. Beautifully clean house with everything we needed for our weekend away. It even had toys and bedding for our dog, which he loved, and a fully enclosed garden which was perfect for him. Check in was very straightforward with clear instructions. The owner was extremely accommodating and arranged a late check out for us, which meant we could enjoy a long Sunday morning walk on the beach. We would definitely stay again!

The only thing I would say is perhaps a bit more instruction is required for the heating system - maybe it’s just that I’m just not tech savvy enough, but either the bedrooms would get no heating at all or boiling hot. Downstairs was a lovely temperature though, and we managed just fine.

What a lovely house. Practically brand new. Had everything you need and more. Very pet friendly. Location was excellent. Just a short walk to the shops etc. We ate out every night and enjoyed the walk along the beach to East wittering. We also ate at the restaurant on the beach which was fantastic. Everywhere we went was pet friendly. We would definitely come back to stay again.

Excellent communication, the host was very helpful, very attentive and resolved any matters swiftly. Very good amenities and access, a very quiet location, a very enjoyable stay, thank you.

Communication with Louise was excellent throughout and check in was easy via a lockbox. Property was very warm - no heating was needed, even though it was very blustery and chilly outside. Excellent kitchen with washing machine and dishwasher, as well as a gas hob and a full oven. Good shower in en suite plus a family bathroom upstairs, with plenty of hot water. Beds were comfy and towels and linens of good quality. Everywhere was clean, despite pets being welcome, so hats off to the cleaner. Easy stroll to the sea and to a pleasant pub with decent "pub grub", good beer and friendly staff. There is a Co-Op within a few minutes walk and other eating places. In addition, there is a bus stop a couple of minutes walk away and we saw several buses in both directions during our short stay, so a car isn't essential, though it makes life a lot easier. Handy to have a car parking space at the front door.

As you can clearly see from the photos provided, the bedrooms are relatively small, so in the back room one side of the bed is right up against the wall and in the front room, it's even tighter. If you are person with poor mobility, this might be a problem, especially if you need to get up in the night, but it was fine for us and it certainly wouldn't stop us coming back if we were in the area.

So clean and comfortable. Excellent location, just 10 mins from the beach. Also our dog was very welcome. We will definitely be back. The host responded very quickly.
